Unfortunately, your past life is catching up with you. You must see a doctor, these are serious. the things you have described often cause infertility. I say this because i have seen it happen with friends and personal experience. Good luck!

I think I have an yeast infection..(itchy and discharge). sorry abt the TMI. Im also TTC and my period due date is 2 days from now. Is this one of the signs of pregnency?? Help! I got HPt done and it was BFN.!!!

A yeast infection is not a sign of pregnancy. However when pregnant you should not medicate yourself with OTC medication. I suggest going to the doctor for the possible yeast infection and tell them you may be pregnant … they can do a blood test.

I have been told that I got a Yeast Infection in my stomach, probably due to all the medicine including Antibiotic I was taking back in Feb. I am seeing a Natural Mediine Therapist (Chiropractor), and he has given me some Natural pills for me to take. He told me it would take a long time to cure it. If you went to a conventional doctor, what is the typical medicine you will be given, and does it CURE it fast? What are the Typical Symptom of Yeast Infection in the intestine? I am a male by the way, I always thought woman gets these in her private area…..Sorry for the ignorance.

Girls are told yogurt,I guess it’s worth a try, hope you feel better soon.

My boyfriend has a yeast infection, and it hasn’t gone away with the over the counter cream he has. It’s been there for about a month, not getting any better. He doesn’t have the money to go to the doctor to get prescription cream.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have some leftover perscription Lotrisone cream from a yeast infection a while ago. Would this work on him, or is that only for women?

well to avoid another one, tell him to wash properly in the shower and to dry well, drying is very important

and tell him to take the pills or whatever so that it goes away quicker

I would also be interested to know if there are any low yeast drinks available.

Budweiser as its brewed from rice and not yeast.

Well I have a yeast infection and I’m late and I have major pregnancy symptoms. I don’t want to waste money on a test if it is the yeast infection causing me to be late if not then I will buy a test on Thursday, we have been TTC for about 3 yrs and about 1 year after a loss, so just wondering if I should take a test or if it is my yeast infection causing me to be late. And if you have any medical knowledge what is safe to use if I’m pregnant, for a yeast infection?

A vaginal yeast infection cannot cause you to be late or miss a period as it will have no effect on the hormones controlling your period. Pregnancy can cause a yeast infection.
So go ahead, spend on a home test. After you find out if you are, contact your ob/gyn for proper treatment.

I think my dog may have a yeast infection or bacterial infection between his toes. He constantly chews at his paws, causing them to become extremely sore. Is there an over the counter remedy for this problem?

Go to the drug store and buy some " Bag Balm ". It comes in a small green can and works wonders. I use it for my pets and myself for any skin irritation. Read the can, it was originally made for farm animals. Love that stuff.

Can you recommend some. I know plain active yogurt works, but I dont have any on hand. I also know of vinegar and water, but am unsure of the ratio of water to vinegar and how to apply. Or any other remedies that will work? What causes a yeast infection in babies? We have never had any rashes except this is the second yeast rash. We use cloth, maybe they are getting a build up and need to be wicked? any advice is welcome! Thanks.

Usually its one part vinegar to 9 or 10 parts water. Cider vinegar with "the mother" is best. You can also use lemon juice, same ratio.

You should put 1/3-1/2 cup vinegar in the rinse of your diaper loads (and actually all laundry) it will not only kill yeast but it will reduce soap build up and soften clothes. Sun drying is also highly effective for killing yeast.

Another thing is that you need to treat yeast for at least two weeks after all symptoms are gone or it will just come back.

Probiotics also help bring the body back into balance to prevent yeast overgrowth. They can be applied directly (or use yogurt). But they should also be taken internally. If you are breastfeeding and the baby is under 6 months mom should take them. Otherwise give them directly there are special instant dissolve ones for toddlers which are nice since they don’t require refrigeration. Or you can use adult ones, just crack them open and put the powder right in baby’s mouth (its sweet) or mix with food (It won’t dissolve in liquid really).

I also highly recommend grapefruit seed extract, but you wouldn’t have that on hand. http://www.drjaygordon.com/development/bf/thrush.asp

The yeast on the cloth diapers needs to be killed or the rash will continue to come back. I added a tablespoon or so of bleach to every hot water cycle, then added vinegar to the rinse cycle, and finally ran an extra cold water rinse with nothing in it until the rash was gone.

# Make a mixture of 10 drops of Citricidal Grapefruit Seed Extract to one ounce of water. The use of distilled water to make your solution is very important. The chemicals placed in your local tap water to kill bacteria can reduce the effectiveness of the active ingredients in GSE. Put the solution into a spray bottle or swab with a clean absorbent pad at every diaper change.
# Slather the rash with plain yogurt containing live cultures.
# Clotrimazole anti-fungal cream (available over-the-counter with the creams for vaginal yeast infections) can be added to a diaper rash cream or you can mix your own cream using zinc oxide and lansinoh.
# A cup full of white vinegar can be added to baby’s warm bath to help soothe his sore bum.
# Add a cup full of white vinegar to your rinse cycle when washing diapers.
# Add 4-5 drops of Tea Tree oil to your wipe solution.
# Wash diapers in hot water.
# Dry diapers in the sun.
# Add Grapefruit Seed Extract to your wipe solution or to baby’s bath.
# Add 4-5 drops of Tea Tree oil to the initial rinse or wash cycle – many mothers find TTO has a strong smell and suggest adding it before the final rinse cycle so that most of the smell is washed away.
# Do NOT use cornstarch powders on a yeast rash. The yeast "feeds" on the powder and will make it worse. This includes plain cornstarch and any baby powder brands that include cornstarch.
# Hydrocortisone cream can help reduce the swelling and inflammation and can be applied under the other diaper creams.

i have somthing like yeast infection in my mouth and the doctor gived me some medicines to take and it dnt go away and i found dark red spot in my inner cheek and i don’t know what is that exactly and i didn’t have fever or anything strange just this infection in my mouth.i justw ant to know is it really yeast infection or something else because i am not sure of this doctor..

Hi there,

It sounds like it may be thrush you’re suffering from. I would try some oil of oregano, make sure to get a dropper bottle and take 3 drops x3 per day. Take some water with it and swish it around your mouth for atleast 2 minutes then swallow. Oregano Oil is incredibly effective against oral yeast infections.

You may also want to buy some acidophilus probiotics and chew on a capsule in your mouth to directly apply the beneficial bacteria to the infected spot. All of these methods will prove useful even if the sore turns out to be any other type of infection.

Good luck with it.

My yeast infection medicine isn’t working and I have two refills left. I just took it last night, should I order a second refill already or just wait a few more days. I am still having the persistent itching.

Unfortunately, I’ve been diagnosed with chronic yeast infections so I know what you’re going through. The medication can take a few days to make you feel better. The itching is caused by the discharge because it irritates your skin. Wash yourself gently with lukewarm water and smear on some protroleum jelly (don’t be shy about it-use far more than you’d put on chapped lips). Washing will remove the discharge that’s there and the jelly will protect your skin from the discharge as it continues to ooze. When you have a chance, you can buy some anti-itch cream that’s intended for yeast infections. Personally it think if you wash first, vasciline works fine until you’re better. Also, my doctor suggested that I eat yogurt everyday or take a daily suppliment that has the same good bacteria as yogurt; it’s called acidopholis. It adds bacteria to your system that can naturally fight off the excess yeast and reduce/prevent yeast infections.
