What are some home remedies that will get rid of this yeast infection once and for all?
I want this infection to go away.

I’m getting really frustrated because I have had this infection since March!
The doctor tried Diflucan on me and it still didn’t work.Still sick with yeast infection since March. Its crazy and frustrating!

Check out: http://www.earthclinic.com/ I’ve heard apple cider vinegar is good at getting rid of yeast infections. I use it to clean out my dog’s ears (his breed is prone to yeast/bacteria infections in the ears) and it works great! :)

no!!!!!!! it is not safe! dont do that!!

if you really want to get rid of yeast infection then you must follow these tips:

1) Eat yogurt!!!! It contains helpful bacteria (live cultures, including acidophilus and bifidus) that destroy yeast. Use only plain yogurt with active cultures.

2) Douche with a solution of 1 to 3 tbsp. vinegar in a quart of water. Repeat once a day while having symptoms, but no longer than a week.

3) Decrease or eliminate sugar and sugary foods. Sugar promotes yeast growth.

4) Use a garlic clove as a suppository. Garlic contains a natural anti-fungal agent.

5) Try gentian violet. It’s a traditional remedy for yeast and other infections, and can be found in pharmacies. Swab the area with it once or twice a day. Make sure to use a thick pad – it stains everything.

6) Use an herbal douche. Combine equal amounts of sage, raspberry and comfrey with 1/4 part goldenseal. This can be combined with cider vinegar.

7) also you should use some herbal treatment. In that case Yeastrol is really good (probably the best) product that gets rid of yeast infection comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that it wont reappear again!
And of course it is better if you use full course (5 months – if I remember correctly). For me it worked very fast + I dont get yeast infections anymore (almost 2 years) …

I am fully aware it is described to treat mild to severe acne, so please let me know your thoughts.

I have a yeast infection & I want to take oral medication instead of vaginal medicine/suppositories.

I have the aforementioned antibiotics in my medicine cabinet & I was just wondering, is it okay to take this medication for this type of infection?

Thank You Kindly.

antibiotics CAUSE yeast infections. NO the doxycycline will only make your yeast infection worse. antibiotics frequently cause yeast infections because in addition to killing the bacteria that is making you ill, it also kills your normal bacteria that keep the yeast under control in your vagina. Yeast is a fungus, not a bacteria, and it normally exists in the vagina without trouble, but an imbalance that kills off the normal bacteria that also exists in there, allows the yeast to over grow.
Sorry, but you have to treat yeast with an antifungal, not an antibiotic.

What does it look like? Is it only near the vagina opening, or can it be up near the hip bone/inner thigh?

sounds like you might have Jock itch (or ringworm – same thing… it’s known as many different names.) go to your doctor, or do some research on skin problems.

Yeast infections don’t leave a rash of any kind… it’s all internal.

Are you sexually active? If so, you really need to get to the doctor, to determine that it’s not an STD of some kind. If you have one, you need to get your partner tested as well.

Good luck!

i get yeast infections frequently, and i dont want to spend the 12-16$ each time for monistat,so if i dont treat it is it ok but if i do treat it will it be less likly to come back ?

you should treat it PROPERLY – read below

My wife has been suffering on and off from yeast infections for the past couple of months. Our neighbor told her to try yogurt with live cultures in it. Has anyone else tried this?

We’ve been having some difficulty. What is the best way to get the yogurt into the vagina? I’ve just been helping her by using a spoon. Also, what is the best way to keep the yogurt in the vagina? We’ve been taping over the area after applying a pad.

Thanks

Um, food doesn’t belong there…and neither do spoons. I’m guessing your neighbor is neither a doctor nor an OBGYN.

Because i think i have a yeast infection, but it seems to be going away?Is that even possible?Im almost 100% sure its not herpes because i dont have any of the syptoms of herpes other than i do have red bumps that are scabbing, but could that just be the yeast infection going away?

I havent had sex yet NO NOT EVEN ORAL SEX.

Thank You
not all of them are scabbing btw just a few.

I have had yeast infections but never with bumps. You need to have it looked at by a Doc because even if your symptoms leave, it may be something you need to deal with. I find it VERY hard to believe it is an STD if you are not sexually active. There are so many things it could be, are you diabetic, is it yeast, you really need a pro to put this to rest in your mind, and keep your body healthy.

I’m 99% positive I have a candida problem and am going to stick to the diet for a month or so to see if it works. According to things I read I can’t have any alcohol period, but with a gluten-free diet (which avoids yeast) you can drink certain liquors, like tequila…

First of all, a gluten free diet does not avoid yeast– it avoids gluten which is a protein in wheat, rye and barley. There isn’t any gluten in tequila.

I have been on a Yeast-free diet combined with the Ultra Simple diet for one week (due to joint pains and hives from candida). On day 7 I woke up with a vaginal yeast infection. I have read that the dying yeast can cause fatigue, muscle aches and nausea to name a few…but nothing about yeast infections. I just want to know if this is going to keep recurring if I continue on this diet.

If you are simply not eating yeast, it should not affect you much. In fact, it should affect you so little that I’m not sure it would do anything at all. I scoff at the idea of a "dying yeast" problem, since bakers’/brewers’ yeast is a good source of B vitamins, and they have to die before you can extract the vitamins from them. Your body digests dying yeast as it does so many other things. The main causes of vaginal yeast infections are anything that upsets the acidity/alkalinity of the vaginal environment and antibiotics. Natural bacteria and natural yeasts co-exist in our environment and in a moist, nutrient-rich environment like the vagina hold each other at bay. You would do far better to look into probiotics, which enhances beneficial bacteria.

I can’t afford a vet right now .

don’t know about the antibiotic’s but if you keep the ears dry and apply some Camphor oil 1 or 2 times daily it works on rabbits, why not canines?
