what are some home remedies for yeast infections?

i need to get rid of this, and i need to know what are some things i can do to subside the symptoms, or make it go away. im on antibiotics and they gave me a yeast infection, and i already took diflucan but it didnt work. its DRIVING ME CRAZY AHHHHH someone please help?

Well i’m a guy so i don’t know first hand, however my wife gets it really bad when on antibiotics (as do most women).

My wife usually solks in a bath of warm water and vinegar, i have also heard a milk bath can do the trick, she has never tried the milk though as we refuse to spend $20 on milk just to bath in it!

How do yeast infection of the mouth i saw somebdy with white stuff in the middle of somebody lips?

It’s probably just from something he ate. Or sometimes when you talk a lot and your mouth gets dry it gets a little foamy and looks like there is white stuff on your lips.

I doubt he had a yeast infection in his mouth but it is possible. Don’t let it scare you, its just an infection. Just don’t be making out with him.

What’s the best OTC yeast infection medicine that doesn’t cost a fortune?

Something preferbly under $15. And any type of applicator…pills…ect.

And yes I know it’s a yeast infection, I don’t want to waste money getting a prescription.

I want it to clear it up, not protect against them, I’ve seen those and accidently bought one.
And fast, I don’t want to wait 2 weeks. And I’ve tried Vagisil to cover the symptoms up, but it did nothing.

Monistat!!! It is a life saver!! They have 3 day now. The first night it may burn but one day of burning beats the weeks of burning!!! Hope you feel better. (Oh and I’d stay away from the tablet kind, the cream seems to work better)

What symptoms would they have ?

They would have roughly the same external symptoms as women:

Redness, itching, burning urination, and if they’re not circumcised, a cheesy discharge under the foreskin.

A man should always visit a doctor for any sort of ailment of the reproductive organs.

After months of Utis and yeast infections I think I probably have systemic candida. I’ve been reading about it on the net, and all i can seem to find are diets that reduce what you’re eating basically to lettuce and fish. Are these just alternative type solutions? Can I go to the doctor and be prescribed medication to make it go away? I really think I will starve to death if I have to follow one of those diet things :/

I have recurring yeast infection after I became sexually active with my now bf. Help! Nothing seems to work.?

It started abt 1 mth after I became sexually active w my bf. I was given cream, oral medication n douche by the doc. It went away and came back again a few mths later. Between late 2007-now, I had 4-5 episodes of the infection. Doc’s med helps for a while but it always comes back. Creams can’t seem to get rid of it unless oral meds are involved. We’ve tried using condoms, not using condoms, either way I will get an infection. I tried eating more yoghurt, garlic etc. No help. I started taking acidophilus capsules recently, not sure if it will work.

My concern is why is it recurring. There has to be an underlying cause for it, which I cannot seemed to pinpoint. I started eating meat again after being a semi-vegetarian 4 about 6 yrs, which coincides with my recurring infections. Could this be a cause? My primary suspect is the sex, but he was treated when he got it fr me previously. Can other skin conditions contribute to yeast infection? (he has numerous pimple-liked bumps on his body)

i dont know what is exactly a yeast infectio means . is any one there know to expalain what is it and its remedy ,please help me i asked a question here and the answer is you may have a yeast infection.

I have just posted an answer to your earlier question old chap. I doubt that your problem is due to a yeast infection?

This is better called fungus anyway. This can occur peri-anally ( around the anus) on the outside but would be unusual within the anus except in certain special circumstances.

Generally fungal infections affect the female vagina and sometimes the skin,unless there is a question of immune compromise. They also occur in the mouths of infants,but rarely in adults. Another trigger for their appearance elsewhere is the use of broad spectrum antibiotics.

ok i have a 11 year old chow chow which has developed a serious skin infection the vet said it was a yeast infection and gave me antibiotics and some other meds but nothing seem to work. I really don’t want to put my dog down because i have had it now 11 years and it would just sting me to much to let her go any help will be greatly appreciated thank.
i want to thank everybody for all the help but my dog didn’t make it i tried everything but she was just to weak to take anymore meds anyways i greatly appreciate all the help.

Check the ingredients of the food you’re feeding your dog and if there is yeast in it discontinue feeding it to him and get a holistic food. Like Azmira, Eagle pack, Holistic Select, Canidae, or Innova.

Okay ive been itching down there for like a week now and when I pee it burns so I went to Old Faithful CVS lol. And was told to try Monistat3. So I came home took a bath and followed the procedure and went to sleep for about 3 hours. Layed in bed for another 2 and then the creme starts coming down. Anywho at lyke 4.00 i go to pee and when i whipe i see yellow clear discharge instead or the white cottage cheese lyke one ive been seeing. Wats goin on????

Candidiasis, or more commonly identified as a yeast infection, is characterized by a white, curdlike, profuse/thick discharge, accompanied with a sweet odor. Any yellowish color discharge is not a yeast infection. Here’s a list of yellow or green-yellow colored discharges:

1. Yellow, mucopurulent (combination of mucus and pus), odorless, or pungent discharge = Chlamydial Infection
2. Yellow or green, foul-smelling discharge from the cervix (or sometimes from the Bartholin’s or Skene’s ducts) = Gonorrhea
3. Frothy, green-yellow, and profuse (or thin, white, and barely there) foul-smelling discharge = Trichomoniasis
4. Mucopurulent (mucus and pus) with foul smell = Chancroid
5. Profuse mucopurulent with or without smell = Genital Warts

Right now, your best option would be to go see your PCP for a vaginal discharge sample to test for a more detailed characteristic (the consistency) examination.

Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching

Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.

Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle.

Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva
