Vaginal discharge. Something other than a yeast infection?

I’ve had white-ish (with little spots of light green/yellow, kind of like mucus) vaginal discharge for about a week. More accurately, I thought I was going to start my period because I was having cramps but when I took out my tampon it had chunky white stuff on it. I haven’t had my period in nearly 6 months (which I have already told multiple doctors/nurses numerous times, and none have suggested I get a pap smear). I’m wondering, could this discharge be related to the cramps and lack of period instead of a yeast infection? Also, it’s not an STD, I’m a virgin.

Did you know they sell a test now in the yeast infection treatment aisle that will tell you what you have? It sounds to me like a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis (both you can get without being sexually active), but you can only be sure if you get tested.

If you do the OTC yeast stuff (I suggest Monistat), then you can assume it is another type of infection. No, it won’t hurt you to treat it just in case.

Period like bleeding, Similar experiences only please!?

My AF is like clockwork, i know when she’s coming within a two day range. This month she was 10 days late (i’m 27 and this has NEVER happened). I had alot of the PG symptoms and doctor even started me on prenatal vitamins. I saw her at 5 days late and we were waiting another week before going for a blood test because urine test still said negative. Got a yeast infection so I started monistat 3 and wouldn’t you know it I had “period like” bleeding the next morning which now has lasted only two days no cramps, just really tired. AF usually lasts 4 to 5. Really want this to be my month. I’ve read so much about women having period like bleeding in early pregnancy and if I am tommorow would make me 6 weeks. Does this sound familiar to anyone, please share your experiences. TY and baby dust to ALL
The big thing throwing me off is that it start 10 days late…I assume if I am, a m/c would be accompanied by cramps which I don’t have. I’m still gonna have the blood work tommorow.

hmm getting a yeast infection is a VERY VERY common in pregnancy. ive never had one in my life untill i got pregnant and then i freaked out because i didnt know what it was or what was wrong with my body. i went on to have a healthy DD. however, when i had period like bleeding in my early pregnancy i ended up having a m/c. your dr really needs to order some blood work to have an hcg quant count. that will help determine if you are pregnant or if you are having a m/c. although, i know that bleeding in pregnancy can happen and you can go on to have a healthy baby. my aunt bled with her second pregnancy and didnt even know she was pregnant untill she was nearly 5 months along when she finally missed her period! (i dont know if this makes any difference or not but she was in her late 30′s at the time she got pregnant) it sounds to me like you are pregnant. if i were you i would urge the dr to check things out now rather than waiting just in case there is something wrong. i wish you the best.

Oh no. Took medicine when I didn’t have a yeast infection…?

I took some Diflucan (powerful oral pill that treats yeast infections) that my doc had prescribed me with antibiotics about 3 weeks ago. I thought I had a yeast infection but now I think it was just soreness from sex cuz the pill had no effect.

You’ll be fine. But, in the future, you might want to eat yogurt when you’re on any type of antibiotic. It is a more natural way of keep the normal bacterial flora stable. You might want to eat a single serving container (2 a day) for the next few days to help balance it out again after taking the Diflucan. :0)

GF has early period, cuts, and yeast infection?

Alright, so me and my GF had sex about two weeks ago. During intercourse the condom had snapped, but when it did I had felt it so I pulled out immediately, no more than 3-5 seconds later, not finishing in her. We stopped and headed home.
A few days later she had gotten a yeast infection, and sore in the vaginal area. We figured it may of had something to do with her being on medication for a ruptured ear drum. At first it was an ear infection, about a week later they upped the medication to make it stronger. They prescribed it to her for 20 days.
During the soreness, she had been itchy as well. 13 days later, she woke up starting her period. This is about a week and a half to two weeks early. I verified that she was certain it was her period. Cramps, bleeding, just like a normal period.

The itchiness is due to the yeast infection and she got the yeast infection because of the antibiotics

Do I have a Male Yeast Infection?

I recently got reddened skin on the head of my penis, and then it went al bumpy, then it flaked off. The next couple days, I was extremely itchy on most of my body, mostly my anus. I usually have whiteish/clear bumps under all of my pubic hair folicles, but they seem somewhat irregular. sounds like yeast. try some miconazole cream on your penis. a dr. can prescribe nystatin rinse for the mouth.

A question for Lesbians: One of the theaters in our town is holding a contest. There is a prize for the best

“Lesbian themed” play. So what’s a good Lesbian theme? If you are a lesbian what kind of play would you want to see? Have coming out, gay marriage and domestic partnerhip rights been done to death? Otherwise it seems like Lesbians have the same issues as everone else: sibling rivalry, crappy computers, woggity grocery carts, diets, budgets, workplace politics, yeast infections. I’m thinking about a plain, old fashioned murder mystery or bedroom farce that involves lesbians as some or all of the characters. What sounds interesting? I think they only want comedies.

Apple cider vinegar and yeast infections?

I have a yeast infection – and I’ve had them before – I really hate using anything from the drug store as they often don’t even work and are not cheap…anyways, I had been reading that apple cider vinegar is supposed to work wonders…so I bought some last night, unfortunately though it was the Heinz brand – I want to know if this makes a difference because I took a warm bath with two cups of it and I drank a glass of water with two teaspoons of it and I am no better today (maybe even worse)…
Please let me know – and if anyone knows how long it takes for it to work, let me know that too!

I’ve been mixing 2 tsp of the apple cider vinegar with 8 Oz of water – it is super gross to drink but apparently it cleanses the intestines of the bad bacteria by raising the PH levels…

Just to clarify – there is no sugar in Apple Cider Vinegar, so it won’t increase your chances of a yeast infection. I’ve also never heard of apple cider vinegar being used for yeast infections. It will work for what apple cider vinegar works for if it is Heinz, but not the best choice. A good organic brand, like Braggs, will work better for anything since it is raw and unfiltered. I can see that douching with apple cider vinegar might help relieve symptoms a bit, but probably won’t knock it out. Vinegar is much better to the taste buds if you add it to juice to drink it too. That is what we do here, but mostly to keep viral and bacterial infections away, not to cure yeast infections.

Dilute at least 30 drops in water to make a douche, and use that. People will say don’t douche, but when you already have a yeast infection, you need to douche to knock it out most quickly. You can also get the tablets and take a couple a day for a few days until the yeast infection is gone.

Then, you need to take some probiotics on a daily basis to keep your balance proper.
