Please help with yeast infection?

Hey, well I think i have a yeast infection, im 13 and i do not want to go to a doctor. Its really itchy, sore, burning during urination, vaginal discharge that looks like cottage cheese and smells rather bad. Please help me cure in naturally. Please don’t send links because normally they don’t tell you what you have to do to make it go. Please help. Its really annoying. Thank you x
If i go to a doctor what would they do to check i have a yeast infection??

There is an over-the-counter medication that is called lotrimen that could help, if it is yeast.

More important, what is it that caused it? One attack might not be worrisome, but repeated attacks are signs that you need to change something.

Are you one the pill? Are you diabetic? Are you sexually active (even though you are too young)?

Seeing a doctor, especially at your age, for “female problems” is hard, but you owe it to yourself to see one at some point for at least a check up. You owe it to yourself as a woman.

A doctor would do what is called a pelvic exam, including a speculum exam, and probably look at the discharge under a microscope to make sure it is yeast.

If you want or need more details about what happens during this kind of exam, please email me.

And do tell your mom. More than likely, she has had a yeast infection at some point, too.

And, is there a female health care provider available to you? Some people feel more comfortable using one of them rather than a male (although I can guarantee you a male doctor will have done enough exams that it has become a matter-of-fact part of his practise.)

i need some info on my male region…can anyone help please

see whats going on is that I have a small cluster of little hard bumps on the shaft of my penis..I dont know what it is and i dont have money to see a doctor at the moment. I know its not an STD because i have a girlfriend and I dont mess around on her and i know she isnt messing around because we are always together and she got checked about a week ago cuz she thought something was wrong with her downstairs so she had STD tests just to find out it was a yeast infection…so cheating is ruled out…so what could these little bumps on my penis be…someone please help me out…it hurts bad…thank you

Sounds like an STD to me my friend, could be allergies to a particular form of birth control ie vcf, liquids, etc. Painful bumps are unfortunately not common.

what does it mean to have vaginal discharge but no signs of a yeast infection?

last night i was discharging and there was some itch so i put some vagisil cream on before bed. today i’m discharging off and on but no itch. the discharge isn’t clumpy. i’m not itching today. theres no order or burning. it just makes my underclothing wet. i heard women discharge a little when they ovulate. and i know they do as a way to lubricate for intercourse. but i haven’t wanted anything lately. and my period ended last week. to me this is strange. i hope i don’t have a problem. i don’t think this can be an STD because i made the guys i had intercourse with get tested first. and that came out clear.

Sometimes dicharge can be heavier than usual. As for the itch, all I can say is sometimes it itches down there. LOL It sounds like you know all of the signs of a yeast infection and have pretty much canceled that possibility out for yourself.
If you are concerned after another day or so I would call and make an appointment with your doctor just to clear your head.

Vaginal Yeast infection! Any home remedies/ over the counter medicines?

OK, about a week back, i noticed some thick, creamy white discharge from my vagina. It did not have any odor or anything, but was a lot.
Then a few days back, i started my period and then on the 3rd day, it started to itch. I thought it was a rash and applied rash ointment around it. Not inside though! the itching reduced, but it is still there! What can i do? I have heard that applying yogurt helps. Is that true? any other remedy or over the counter medicine?

P.S: i became sexually active about a month back, so it could be an STD. But both me and my partner were virgins. Is it something serious? Should i speak to a gyno or will yogurt work?

It sounds like a simple thrush infection. This is a fungal infection and is very common.

Yes yoghurt is a very good natural remedy. Make sure its natural yoghurt. No added sugar or chemicals. Just natural yoghurt. Soak a tampon in the yoghurt and insert it for an hour or so. Then change it.

It works because natural yoghurt is the same pH level as the vagina. Your vagina likes natural yoghurt a lot! It may not be enough to clear up the infection, but it will certainly help.

See your nurse who will be able to advise what else to take. If it is thrush, canestan cream will be the cure.

Good Luck x

Is this a yeast infection?

My husband got sick and took antibi now his thing at the head is ichy and burns. He told me this after I mentioned that it was happening to me in my area. Does any one know if this sounds like a yeast infection?

Throw some in bread and see if it rises. If it does, it’s yeast.

Yeast infection, just like any other diseases, can best be treated if you have a deeper understanding of what it really is. Surely, you can never step up the ladder and just find out the possible ways to cure it without knowing and finding out first the cause. If you understand why this occurs, you can understand how you can cure it most effectively.

So now, if the cause of this problem is not clear Read the rest of this entry

I get a lot of yeast infections and UTI’s. It seems to be a cycle. What can I do, outside of antibiotics and

Dyflucan, to help control this. It’s making my life and sex life miserable. FYI: I have only had one sex partner in the last two years, I have been tested for STD’s thanks to my ex-husband, my fiance and I don’t use “toys” or lubricants and are very clean and health conscious. Because of the frequent infections we both wash off after every sexual encounter, which is getting very old very fast. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I already drink a lot of water and cranberry juice. Even when I go out I drink vodka and cranberry juice.
I get a Brazillian Wax every three weeks and I did just get over BV about a month ago.
We don’t have anal sex due to the frequent infections and we don’t use any food products. I am noticing a pattern with the tampon thing though.

For UTIs I would say to try to urinate after sex and drink tons and tons of water and/or cranberry juice to keep your system flushed. There is an antibiotic that can be used daily or every time after sex that concentrates in the bladder only so it’s pretty safe to use on a continual basis. It’s in the macrobid family (ask a doctor for a prescription). Don’t know much about the yeast infections, but my guess is that those are leading to the UTIs. That might be why there’s a vicious cycle.

Are there any complications of having a bad yeast infection during pregnancy?

I am currently 18 weeks pregnant and I have a yeast infection from taking some antibotics for a sinus infection, except it is a REALLY bad infection. I called my OB doctor and she recomended over the counter medication, but I am concerned with how this “the infection” and “the medicine” affects the baby? Any personal experences?

Having a yeast infection during pregnancy is very common. I had them while pregnant and have never had one since (thankfully). :)

You must remember that your OB knows what they are doing. They know what is safe for you to take and what isn’t.

The baby is very well protected from the infection. So don’t worry about that. For your sanity you need to get the Yeast infection cleared up..if it progresses and gets worse then you will have a problem.

The beauty of buying over the couter stuff. Go talk to the pharmacist…they are very helpful and can help ease your concerns.

Good Luck!

Heavy white discharge, no irritation or odor. What is wrong?

There is absolutely no odor or irritation. No pain and no itching. Just heavy white vaginal discharge. It is pure white and is the texture of egg whites. It has been this way since I ceased breastfeeding my youngest baby. It has never been like this before. I will go to a doctor to check it out soon. In the meantime, does anyone has any thoughts? Could it be a yeast infection? I did notice the discharge stopped while I was on a fast. I just started Three Lac today along with a lot of organic plain yogurt to begin treating the yeast, should that be the problem. I am considering an extended fast. Fill me in if you have any input. Thank you!

hello dear
your history of vaginal discharge with no odor and no iritation suggest a fungal disease that called candidiasis taht is more common in womens in fertility ages , for acute diagnosis should check the dischrges in laboratory in assosiation of doctor , so you can use vaginal bath and either after bath compeletley dry your body especially your genital area and so use cotton underwear . the drug that probably your doctor will administrate is vaginal cream clotrimazole .
