No remedy for yeast infection to be found. Please help!?

My mother and my brother have yeast infections, my brother’s is moderate, my mother’s is severe, and it is genetic, since my grandparents on my mother’s side both had it severe as well.

My mother has tried everything for almost a decade now, but nothing has worked at all, and I mean NOTHING, not OTC drugs, not Acidophilus yogurt or pills, not creams, not even all of the general precautions for people with yeast infections.

They both have the Candida Albicans yeast strain, and my mother’s case is extremely rare, because she is allergic to all antibiotics and can’t take any natural or manmade drugs or ointments because EVERYTHING burns her in her women’s area.

My brother has it in his eye so bad that he can’t focus at all sometimes and no drugs have helped him either.

Any help will be appreciated, but info from people who had or still have this problem and defeated it with a non-standard method would be best.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Did you know that Candidiasis and Thrush (yeast infections) infects more then 80% of all people in the industrialized nations.

The first thing would be a diet change. Cut out all sugars… or as much as you can. Stay away from refined goods. No lunch meats. Next, i would suggest going to a health food store and getting a product such as Candistroy, or what ever you prefer.. Perhaps while you are there you could buy some garlic tablets (garlic is also good for killing off yeast)….. also buy some Caprylic Acid (kills yeast).

It is not enough to just destroy the yeast (which by the way can hide anywhere in the body .. not just private parts or mouth, eyes, it can affect the joints as well), you must be able to flush the dead yeast out of the body, as well as to introduce good bacterias back into the stystem with the acidophilus pills. You will also need to take supplements for liver support/cleansing, because as the yeast is killed off it turns into an alcohol, which can make a person feel foggy and tired, but it is just the yeast dying off. The liver needs to be supported at this time so that it can flush out all the dead yeast and toxins. This is a must. And of course drink pleanty of water….. alkaline water is preferable..
There is a new product that is out there called ThreeLac check it out as well. It is suppose to help get rid of stubborn yeast infections.

I am tired, so i hope i was not too confusing….. basically you need to kill off the yeast with a decent product i am sure there are enough listed ….. secondly because those natural products kill off yeast some of them also kill off the good bacteria that is in our stomachs or intestines that help keep yeast at bay… so that is why you will need to take probiotics two to three times a day. And then because of the yeast and toxins it will be hard on the liver as you start to get rid of it from the system… there fore a liver support supplement (which also can be bought from health food store) is imperative. Plenty of water to keep body flushing impurities out. …… Good luck…..

Can yeast infection mean your pregnant?

Im not sure I have one, but its itchy and burns when me and my boyfriend try to have sex. I thought it may have just been irrated from not being wet when me and him had sex. I then read about yeast infections and you can get them when your pregnant. I have other symptoms but does anyone eles have any advice?

If you think you are pregnant take a test. But get treated for the Yeast infection. Pregnant women do NOT automatically get a yeast infection..
.
Yeast is a fungus referred to as Candida. Yeast is commonly present on normal human skin and in areas of moisture, such as the mouth and vagina.

Vaginal yeast infections occur when new yeast is introduced into the vaginal area, or when there is an increase in the quantity of yeast already present in the vagina relative to the quantity of normal bacteria.

If you have diabetes mellitus or are pregnant or taking oral contraceptives (birth control pills) or antibiotics you may get an infection. The use of douches or perfumed vaginal hygiene sprays may also increase a woman’s risk of developing a vaginal yeast infection. Improper ventilation – say wearing nylons too long, tight pants, etc, can contribute to getting an infection.

Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching

For a few women, a yeast infection can go away on it’s own just after their period.

yeast infection pregnancy treatment
is vaginal cramping normal in early (10 weeks) pregnancy?

Its not sharp, but is there all the time, whether im walking, sitting laying down. its been going on for a few days now but getting intensified. also have itching, stinging when peeing. sometimes normal discharge, sometimes stinky green discharge, sometimes none at all /(dry as climakterium women)… doctor refuses to take std tests part from chlamydia that turned out to be neg. no yeast infection treatment worked (tried 2 treatments=4 diff medications).

well if you are having green discharge you have an std or an infection..get another dr who will test you properly…the itching and stinging when you pee i have that sometimes..from all the increased blood flow to that area..i get inflammed down there and theres nothing i can do about it though..try using cold water it helps me alot..and the cramping is normal as long as its not too bad..its probably cramps you get from your period bc you still get your symptoms just dont have one anymore..it could be ligament pain too from your ligaments stretching

A Dog w/ a Yeast Infection…

I was at my aunt’s house yesterday when she informed me that my cousin’s dog that she “sits” has a yeast infection, or yeast on her…apparantly all over it’s body and it smells really bad. My son was petting it and I asked if it was contagious and she said no. She said that my cousin was supposed to be giving it pills to take care of it. My son did touch his face after he pet the dog, and before I washed his hands (which was about a min. or 2 later). I am not familiar w/ this kind of thing, so can a someone who is tell me more about it? It’s not that I don’t trust my aunt but I just mainly want a second person to tell me it’s not contagious…

Thanks in advance!

Yeast is not contagious. I have a foster dog right now with a yeast/fungal infection just like what you are describing and I can assure you that nobody else is getting it.
Yeast grows on everybody….dog, human, everybody! But a healthy immune system keeps it in check. When a dog or human has a repressed immune system, the yeast can begin to take over but it will not be passed to someone else.
No worries. It’s uncomfortable for the poor dog and needs to be dealt with, but it’s not going to hurt anyone else.

Yeast infection between breasts?

i am 17 and pregnant and I went to the doctor on Saturday and my doctor told me I had yeast between my breasts. She told me monistat would be good for me to use. Has anyone had this same problem? I went to a few stores and they all have monistat but for vaginal yeast infections, would it be good for my breasts as well. I am a D, and the doctor said its between my breast because they are big and yeast forms in moist, warm places. i have also looked up pictures of yeast infection online, but they all look red and mine is more like brown and it doesnt really itch, maybe every once in a while. it just looks very nasty.

People get yeast infections anywhere that is warm and wet. Obese people get it under folds of skin. People can get it in their mouths or nose. Use the monistat to treat it… then just try and wash that area every day with a mild soap. Also, make sure you are washing your bras every couple times you wear them (and don’t wear a bra to bed). This should prevent it from returning.

If you don’t want to use monistat…. you could also use boric acid. You don’t need a prescription… just ask your pharmacist for a container of it. Mix it with water until it becomes a paste and then slather it on. Leave it on when you go to bed. Maybe do a couple treatments of that…. you should be fine after a day or two.

Do I have canida – if so, how to treat?

My tongue has a white coat on it and I feel like I have cotton in my mouth. I am assuming this is candida – does this mean it is in my intestines as well? I have been fatigued lately as well adn depressed. I haven’t had this before, nor do I ever get yeast infections. Will antifungul medicine help or does this require more intense treatment. I don’t get it – I exercise and eat well….why would I get this? Can it happen to anybody? Thanks

Ask your Dr for some swish and swallow Nystatin to clear the thrush/candida. Nystatin is a special type of antibiotic that causes candida to die. It is not absorbed in the digestive tract like antibiotics that treat bacterial infections. Gargle twice a day with the Nystatin and then either spit it out or swallow per Dr’s instructions. Also start eating active culture yogurt daily. Don’t take excessive antibiotics. Don’t eat lots of sugar since sugar feeds candida yeast. Don’t drink lots of beer either. good luck

whats the average reccomended dosage of diflucan?

I think my doc prescribed way too much. It’s for a yeast infection. He prescribed me 30 10mg tabs to be taken over a month, but I’ve heard of people taking just a single dosage. Is he wrong or ill informed about this medicine?

Diflucan comes in 50, 100, 150 and 200 mg tablets. It comes in a suspension of 10mg/cc

Your dose seems rather low. Most patients I have had using this have a few day supply of usually 100mg per day for a specified set of days depending on age, seriousness of the infection etc.

women only please!!!?

i am 5 months pregnant and i am having a vaginal infection. It itches, burns, bleeds and i have sharp pains inside and outside my vagina. i have been to my doctor and she said that i did not have a urinary tract infection and said i might have the symptoms of a yeast infection minus the discharge. so they told me to use a three day medicine and that it would take the pain and the infection away. well a week went by and i am still in pain i called the doctor and they dont know what to do…. WHAT DO I DO!!! only serious answers please!

You might have to take the medication again. Knock off sugar if you are overdoing it, this means no soda, not saying you do but IF you have to much sugar it makes things worse. Drink some cranberry juice daily. Some yeast infections are stubborn to get rid of, a second round of medication may be needed. When you use up all the medication it may take a few days to totally get rid of the problem. You can buy the itch medication to help with some on the problem too, you take a dab and rub it in the area that is irritated…..
