OMG!! Bumps!!!!?

Does a yeast infection cause bumps on your vagina? i know this is too much info but Iam 29 weeks pregnant and I was wondering because Ive had the infection for about a month, I didnt worry about treatment because usually when I get a discharge like infection it usually goes away, but this time it was very itchy and whould swell my vagina but since this one didnt go away I went to the doctor on monday, he checked me and took samples and said I had a yeast infection.

Now that the infection is clearing up I took a look in the mirror today and noticed small bumps on my vagina. ( I didnt do this before because my stomach is so big I have to use a mirror and I know he had to see the small red bumps on my clit, when he checked me, but he didnt say anything. So I was wondering is this normal? Will they go away? Is this something more?
No they are small bumps on each side of my clit and down at the bottom of my vagina.

I too have experienced bumps for the first time ever down there with this pregnancy. I have been told so many things, one doctor takes them lightly and the other is a little more scared about them. The things i have been told are: razor bumps, mollescum, and genital warts. Although there is no treatment or biopsies that can be done during pregnancy, they are freaking me out. They tend to itch from time to time and i have endured more vaginal infections since they have appeared. The doctor told me the reason they are appearing now is due to my weakened immune system (pregnancy). One positive thing i was told is that they will NOT effect your baby what so ever (even in vaginal birth). I would just mention your concern to your doctor and get suggestions from him/her. Good Luck Hun! = )

???yeast infection??

i have a yeast infection…i am also three months pregnant…i have been using the home remedy with garlic today where you wrap a piece in gauze and insert it for a few hours…but before i tried it i noticed that i have a thick white discharge the consistency of play-doh. And it is slightly pink…is that normal? Is it blood? or what causes that? Please don’t tell me to go to the doctor…i can decide that for myself…thanks for your comments

it would be a super decision to GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!

Also, we aren’t cavemen and women, there are MANY over the counter products you can buy at low prices TODAY but see, you said you’re pregnant, so it’s just best to ASK YOUR DOCTOR!!!!

ps. Yeast infections are common for pregnant women. The pink in it is also common…your body is still getting used to the dramatic change and is still flushing things out. If it’s bloody and painful, then you have a problem….ie; GO TO DOCTOR!!

pss….CRANBERRY JUICE cleans out your kidney’s……NOT YOUR VAGINAL WALLS!!!

yeast infection leg
My son has a yeast infection what is the best over the counter medicene to get rid of it?

My 8 yr old son now has his second yeast infection, his first one was actually on his penis, and that was about 3 months ago. Now he has a yeast infection in one of the folds of skin between his genital are and his leg. It is raw, and he is quite uncomfortable even limping because it hurts him to walk. I myself am a 27 yr old female who has never had a yeast infection, so I know nothing about any of the over the counter medicenes. I have been trying to research what medicene to use on the internet, but I would really like some advice from someone who has maybe had to use this kind of medicene before. Which medicene would most likely work best?

hello there,

you know what, my baby brother has one like right at this moment and this is something my mom does to help with the itch and soreness. (by the way my brother is 9 months old.) Just put your son in a warm bath(let him sit) and put some baking soda in the water and that will clear it up within 5 maybe 6 days. And u can also buy some vitamin e clear gels for him to put on it and that will stop the itching as soon as it is put on there. These are some home remedies that my mom and grandmother use. U will know that the yeast infection will be going away when u see that the area is turning a different color from the original skin color. That just means that it is healing. but this is just a great way to help him without spending so much money on over the counter drugs. just use wat u have at home. and i guarantee u that this works because my brother has only had his for 4 days and his is already going away its just a little spot left . so just try that and i hope it helps your son.

oh yeah make sure he sits in the tub every night with a little baking soda in it…..it wont burn or anything it just a natural medicine to cure his yeast infection………Hope this helped!!!!

yeast infection fungus
What is “Candida” and what are the symptoms?

I tried researching it, but the explanations are too complicated. I think its some sort of Fungus or yeast infection in your body/mouth,etc.

Can someone tell me what it is in their own words? No copy and pasting from some website.

Thanks.

You’re right basically it is an overgrowth of fungus. It happens when the body’s immune system is out of kilter, i.e. if you take antibiotics or steroids. The most usual symptom is thrush, which manifests as white, sore lumps in the mouth or genitals. It can also cause tiredness, itchy skin etc. The best way to cure it is to cut out all sugar, and cut down on refined carbohydrates, take a probiotic supplement and avoid yeast products such as vinegar, marmite, bread etc

Questions: Fish oil & acidophilus supplements?

I will be asking my doctor about this next week, but am looking for opinions here first. I’m thinking of taking taking fish oil capsules to help relieve symptoms of depression, and acidophilus to reduce yeast infections. I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant and planning to breastfeed.

1. Are these supplements ok to take while pregnant or breastfeeding… are there any potential side effects that would affect the baby or milk production?

2. What is the recommended dosage for each?

3. Is it ok to take them with food and before bedtime? I tend to get sick from vitamins otherwise.

4. Is there anything specific I need to look for on the label to ensure I am purchasing a quality product, or can you recommend a quality product?

THANKS!

Fish Oil is very important for the Brain and Eye development of your baby and can help with postpartum depression. MAKE SURE it is a high quality fish oil, that is molecularly distilled to remove mercury and pcb’s. 1000mg of fish oil is standard.

If you get a high quality fish oil, the baby won’t taste it and won’t refuse to eat, the higher the quality the fish oil the less fishy it should taste.

I like the Nordic Naturals fish oil. It is third party tested for purity and freshness, and bottled in Norway within 6 hours from the time they catch the fish.

Acidophilus is helpful for the baby too, look for something refrigerated with at least 4 billion units.

Ladybug is right, The Now brand is great, but I have never seen the mercury level data on their fish oil. Unless you can get tests on the mercury levels from Now, I might stick with Nordic Naturals.
From what I remember Nordic Naturals levels in mercury was .06. The FDA Allowance is no higher than .28. Obviously the lower the better. With fish oils and pregnancy, you want to make sure the oil is not only pure, but the purest on the market. Now doesn’t produce and package their fish oil in Norway, like NN, so they might not be as good.

While my husband and I were trying to conceive I had a herpes outbreak. Will this affect the growing baby?

I just took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. I am so excited but also scared. I had a herpes outbreak AND what seemed like a bad yeast infection immediately following the week I was ovulating. Most likely because of all the sex while TTC! I used Monistat 3 day treatment for the yeast infection. What are the risks, if any and also does anyone know if having these health issues at the moment of conception will in any way hurt the developing baby?

The risk is usually in delivering the baby with an active outbreak, not conceving, or aquiring herpes while pregnant, but usually its fine if you already have it. The yeast infection meds are probably fine also, I have be prescribed monistat during pregnancy before. I would make sure to stop taking any antivirals unless your ob wants you to stay on them if you are (valtrex). I would make sure to mention this to your ob but I think you and baby will both be fine.

can tounge bacteria cause a uti or yeast infection?

I didnt know i had such a bad bacteria problem in my mouth (i thought it was just food or something on my tounge) until recently, but a few months ago, my girlfriend got a urinary tract & yeast infection. Could these be related?

“yeast” infections are caused by various species of a yeast-like fungus called Candida. Certain conditions, such as antibiotic use, may upset the balance of microbes in the body and allow an overgrowth of Candida. Yeast also can thrive in chronically moist folds of skin, such as in the groin.

Outbreaks of thrush may be the result of an increased use of antibiotics rather than newly acquired Candida infections. In children (and adults) taking antibiotics or steroids (such as cortisone-related asthma medications), the balance of microbes in the mouth can be disturbed. This may cause an overgrowth of Candida, which in turn results in oral thrush.

my advise to both of you is to get some medical attention and clear that up.

yeast infection natural
Is there any natural way of healing a yeast infection?

Do not have enough money at the time to go out and buy cream and such.

You can use the yogurt method… it worked for me.
It’s a bit old-fashioned, but still worth a try, and very soothing. It’s best to try an approach from both ends: eat the yogurt, as well as inserting it. It helps restore your pH and supports the naturally present bacteria that fight off the yeast infection.

Be sure to get natural yogurt with no flavouring or additives and especially no sugar.
Dip a tampon into it and insert, wear a pad in case it leaks. Keep it in for an hour at a time; repeat up to four times a day.

Another good option is a sit bath (Americans also call that a ‘Sitz bath’, everything gets better if you use a few German words every now and then!), which is a shallow bath, with one or two cups of cider apple vinegar mixed into the water. Draw your knees up to your chest and sit in the water for a while.
