i posted this before but i want more answers..

Oh girl I feel for you. I’m recovering from a laparoscopy (surgery to remove endo) and another one for my bladder. If your mom has endo, there is a really good chance you do as well. My mom had it too. I’ve had extremely painful periods since they began, and the pain during sex part really sucks! The only way you can be diagnosed with endo is through a surgery (do a google search and see what it looks like… it’s weird and you’ll see why it can’t be detected any other way). When you have the surgery (which isn’t bad, trust me!) they can figure out if you have it and laser off the endo they find. It will keep growing back dammit, but you’ll get some temporary relief from it. You also might want to look into IC (Interstitial Cystitis) which is commonly found with endo. I just found out I had that and that was actually what was causing pain during sex, more painful periods, frequent utis and such. There are things that can be done for that as well. Good luck, I strongly recommend getting this taken care of sooner than later. If you do have endo it can mess up your fertility if you don’t treat it soon enough, and you don’t want to let the pain get to the point where you can’t control it without Vicodin. How long for diflucan to fully work?

I tried using monistat3 for a yeast infection and got NO relief. Finally I went to the dr and he said it does look like a yeast infection and he gave me the single dose diflucan. I felt about 90% better by day 2…im on day 4 (its Monday morning and i took it thursday evening) and still not 100%. I still have a mild itch happening tho. Its definitely not terrible and the pain is gone, but the mild itch is frustrating. Is this normal or should my symptoms be completely gone by now???

Usually symptoms are cleared by the end of 72 hours for me, but if I’ve had the infection for too long before treatment the itch stays a bit longer (maybe a couple more days or longer if I scratched heaps). It’s probably related to healing rather than the infection if your other symptoms have gone.

Will an air purifier help my cats allergies? Veterinarians are very welcome to answer too!?

My cat makes excessive cerumen and he sneezes 10-20 times a day. We get regular follow-up with a vet and are treating him for a yeast infection in his ears. She suspects he has allergies. In the meantime, has anyone tried an air purifier or does anyone think an air purifier will be helpful? I know doctors suggest it for human allergies and my vet says cats can be allergic to the same things humans are.

Yes, it does help a little. But put it on low and keep a window open with some food and water.

You should really see your gynecologist, especially if this is your first infection. A lot of women mistake bacterial vaginosis, also called a Gardnerella infection, to be a yeast infection. If you treat BV with over the counter yeast infection cures, you can actually aggravate it. I have never heard of a yeast infection causing infertility, but BV, when left untreated, can affect the natural state of the good bacteria in the reproductive system and make it easier for any other infections or STDs you are exposed to to reach the cervix and uterus, which in turn can cause scar tissue and in some cases infertility.

That’s just a rough summary of what can happen, if you would like a more detailed explanation you can perform a search for bv and yeast infections and get a much more in depth explanation. The risk is low, but better safe that sorry with something that could potentially be so damaging.
