yeast infection, STD, or some other infection?

A few days ago I noticed that I have irritation on my outer labia, not the inner labia. I am also having heavier vaginal discharge that is thick and white, and my whole vaginal area has an itchy/burning sensation. The irritation is somewhat painful, and looks like there are some kind of red irritated bumps on my outer labia. Could this be some kind of bacterial infection or more like some kind of STD???

It sounds like a bacterial vaginosis to me. I had all these symptoms 3 months ago and the gynecologist diagnosed me with bacterial vaginosis. You better go see one as well, just to be sure. Good luck!

P.S: My symptoms were redness of the labia and outer vagina, itchiness all around the vaginal area and a burning sensation, especially when passing urine. Also, pain at the labia and vagina and thick and white/yellowish vaginal discharge. In the end I was getting puss and blood too.

What is the best alternative medicine for a female yeast infection?

Just curious, that’s all. Doint research.
DOING not doint. . LOL sorry typo

White or apple cidar vinegar has proven to be a helpful ally in my battle against yeast infections.
I have found that if you are burning, itching and all the other nasties that are associated with a yeast infection, it really helps to soak in a bathtub with about a cup and a half of vinegar.

Green and Yellowish Discharge & Yeast Infection Treatment?

just started 7 days treatment last night and all day today ive have yellow and green looking discharge…i dont if it normal or something else, this is my first yeast infection and i am 13 weeks pregnant….the discharge is green and yellow…and is coming out of me like as in a period type of flow and real chunky but flowy (TMI i know )

I had a yeast infection but never green or yellow stuff. Also I only had to take one oral pill to get rid of it (maybe you can cuz you are pregnant)…..O WAIT are you using monostat or another ovul insert…I used that once too lol it leaks out so they say to wear panty liners it could look creamy and yellowish but idk bout green. You should talk to a doctor if anything. wear cotton undies and loos fitting clothing, they are more common when you are pregnant :)
also my doctor informed me that if I ever got one again to do monostat 7day because only the 7day one works (what she said) so you should be good :)

Do you think I should talk to my doctor?

I’m 20 and have been on Trivora Birth Control for about 4 years now… well i’ve been taking it REGULARLY for 2 years, but before that i was really on and off with it.

And for the past 2 years i’ve been getting some somewhat unpleasant side effects (which i’m not 100% sure if they are caused by my pill)

1. extremely low sex drive.
2. about 5/10 extra pounds
3. 3-5 yeast infections a year

However, my period is light and like clockwork… down to the hour when it starts… and only lasts a few days.

Do you think my BC is causing these symptoms and should I change it? Any recommendations? thanks so much!

This is pretty normal for birth control…I was in your same situation and tried everything to restore it. I switched pills a couple times and gave up, the libido was just not coming back. I then found a natural herbal enhancer that is supposed to increase your sex drive and a couple other things. It’s called Hersolution gel, read up about it at herenhancement.com where I saved on it at the time. However it’s like an instant libido rush and as I kept using it my sex drive was through the roof and continues to be. The sensation blast is great too, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had multiple orgasms when before I couldn’t even get a single one. Theres also capsules you can take that I’ve heard are better but I don’t like swallowing many pills throughout the day. I was skeptical at first but the return policy was so great that the company was offer. From what I remember you had to try it out for a couple months but then you had time afterwards to return it for a full money back if it didn’t work. I didn’t have that problem as you can see. Well good luck and I hope this helps.

Best OTC or topical to treat a stubborn yeast infection?

I have a reoccurring yeast infection, I know I will need to see a doctor but I am temporarily living away from my normal doctor and don’t have insurance, I took this semester off of school. So for the next few weeks until I can get my schedule out to my insurance company, I need some suggestions or a quick fix. What is the best or strongest solution to this problem?

I’ve tried at home remedies, they lasted temporarily, and I’m extremely uncomfortable and aggravated.

Thanks in advance for any answers!

One product that is over the counter that you can try is Monistat but I would recommend the 7 day treatment if they have that available in the store. The 7 day treatment will help to ensure at trying to get rid of this.

yeast infection alcohol
Yeast– wine yeast, beer yeast, bread yeast, women’s yeast… what’s the difference? I’ve heard people say…

if you make wine, keep it far away from a bakery/ beer brewery. I heard a woman claim she can’t help driving drunk because she had a yeast infection push her alcohol level over legal limits (the judge wouldn’t let her off.)

I gather there’re different types.
Please– no wikis or websites ! I can look those up myself !
I’m trying to save time.

Suppose you HAD TO make bread with wine yeast or vice versa. No other yeast available.

No, don’t give me places to order it! You’re on another planet; all you have to work with is the one yeast, you don’t know which. One yeast to rule them all & there is no other!!

I’m not saying would bread be like from the bakery. Would it be edible? That’s all. Could you live on it?

I’m not saying would the beer/wine be as good as at the local pub. Could you distill alcohol from it to use as fuel? That’s all.

Do women have to be careful around the bread/ beer/ wine yeast? How risky/dangerous is it?

Thanks! want more details? Just ask!

Just like there are many types of bacteria, there are many types of yeast. It is not just one entity.

There are species of yeasts that are good for bread, they will not infect people.
There are other species that are better for beer, and others for wine.
Women are not the only ones that can get yeast infections. There is a throat infection called Thrush that is a yeast. Persons who have been on antibiotics can get an intestinal yeast infection from killing all the natural flora in the intestinal tract.
There are several varieties of yeast that cause vaginal infections.
If you made bread from brewers yeast it would work, but no as well. Some people take brewers yeast as a food supplement for B vitamins.
You can make beer bread. In fermentation, the yeast est the sugar and break it down into alcohol and CO2 gas. In a good bred, you need lots of carbon dioxide gas. The baking evaporates the alcohol.
You do not absorb alcohol from a yeast infection. It is on the outside of the body, inside the vagina.
The yeasts are found in nature. If apples fall on the ground, they ripen and ferment. Cows can get drunk from eating them. The only reason they add yeast to wines is to control the type they have and their production. The fruit with naturally found yeasts will ferment on their own. You could ferment them to get ethanol for fuel. You would need a still to distill it from the mixture. The yeast can only make up to about 21 % before they kill themselves. Bacteia can take over then and cause the alcohol to further ferment into acid. That is how vinegar is made.

I don’t have any idea about your problem. However, I came across a blog about yeast infection. Hope you find your answer there.

whats the best thing to use for a yeast infection?

i want to gt it from CVS
pictures also if you cn find any

Depend how much money you want to spend.

A few pennies’ worth of plain, unflavoured, unsweetened yogurt (one tablespoon per day inserted vaginally for 5 days in a row) works just as well and just as quickly as any $15 medicine does.

Does this sound normal?

I’m thirteen and this is what I experience every month:
1. Irregular periods that last up to 10 days (heavy for the first four to five days, then very light for the next 5 to 6 days), and cycles that ONLY SOMETIMES take more than 35 days to return (i.e. I started one period last year on July 4th and didn’t begin my next period until the 11th of August)
2. Almost painless bowel movements
3. Rarely, painful urination (every couple of months, I suppose due to yeast infections)
4. Severe cramps (they vary every time. They can be so painful I have to stay in bed for a few hours, which is usually the case, but sometimes they can be pretty light. I use ibuprofen to lessen the pain)
5. Very heavy flow (for the first four to five days, then it gets really light)

I have had my period for almost four years…Is all of this normal? My mom says she used to be this way at my age and that I am ok, but I’ve never been to a gynecologist.

It is normal for the first few years when you start menstruating but you should go and get an annual pap smear to rule anything out.
