s it possible to get pregnant if my luteal phase is 10 days only?

I have a 26 day cycle and I’m on 2 days away from my next period. (last period on Dec27th and the next will be on Jan 22nd). I think I ovulated on cd16. (with a positive OPK test on cd 14,15 and 16). Last month, I didn’t use any OPKs..and we bd’d around the same time and did not pregnant. (I also had a yeast infection at that time :( ) I saw some brown spotting the day before my period started and I thought that was implantation spotting. Actual bleeding started after 24 hours. I never had brown spotting before periods. did I miscarry? Also..I’m wondering if a luteal phase of 10 days will ever get me pregnant.

Yes it is possible to get pregnant with a 10 day luteal phase alot of women have a 10 uteal pahse.It just varies by woman to woman some last 10 most 14 and some even 16 days.If a woman wants to conceive, the most fertile time occurs between 19 and 10 days prior to the expected menses.

Iam not sure if Iam reading your question correctly but many women also have some bleeding during the first 3 months of pregnany this can be normal some even bleed through out there whole pregnancy.So if You recieved a positve test it is possible your still pregnant it is also possible you lost it as this happens alot to us women without us even knowing it

What do you consider “thumbs down” worthy?

I love Yahoo! Answers just as much as the next boredom inflicted teenager, but I hold a couple of grudges. What’s been bothering you lately with the site? I’ll start it off.

I hate it when men answer questions in the Women Health section. To me it seems inappropriate and creepy when they tell someone they may have a yeast infection or supply a girl with instructions on how to insert a tampon – wierd!

It also ticks me off when someone ‘answers’ a question by self congragulating themself, on earning two points. (Ex. “Yay, 2 pts!”) They seem to think they’re clever. I think they’re punishably lazy.

Similarly, I’ve been noticing another type of lazy. YA has been hit by a Wikidemic. You know who I’m talking about. It’s so easy to tell when those people directly copy/paste from Wikipedia. Hey all you Wikidouches, if I wanted the Wikipedia entry I would of looked it up myself.

So what kind of behavior do you regularly serve with a brutal thumbs down?

Wow I know! In addition to all those “thumb-downers”,
.. I think those spam ones are annoying..when you see someone has a serious question and suddenly somebody goes “BANANANAANNANANANAANSNSNS!”

I really don’t like it when people make the asker feel dumb; sometimes I look at questions to answer and there’s some bratty girl who’ll say “Omg your so stupid. Get a life and a brain..by the way, the answer is 98″

Then I get annoyed by those people who are racist or give a link to some porno thing..I think I just gave up on those people..hey there are a bunch of others who’ll thumb them down or report them.

I especially don’t like it when people go “edit” and save their place..somebody sent me a lengthy message once cause I did that long ago and they told me I could get reported if I kept doing that..and some other things, and after seeing a bunch of people who really care that much just to be on the top of the pack, I got pretty pissed.

So yeah.

I might have a yeast infection…or worse?

About over a two weeks ago i got my period. When i got it, i started having a burning feeling down there when i would finish peeing. When my period ended, it went away for about a day and came back then next. I’ve been peeing frequently and noticed that my pee has gotten to be a more bright yellow color. Sometimes it’s almost like “foggy” if that makes sense. It still burns. I took an at home uti test that came out positive on nitrite and negative on proteins. Idk what that means. Help? Any way to get rid of this without going to a doc? And what can happen if not taken care of properly. Help please!

A UTI needs to be taken care of by a doctor. You can attempt to get rid of it by drinking loads of cranberry juice…. but I would just take antibiotics and have a little faith in the healthcare industry because leaving infections alone usually doesn’t end well.

Could a psychologist help explain to your parents if you had an STD? Do I even have an STD.. or male hormone?

Could it make it any better? I don’t know how to tell my parents… and also, that is NOT the ONLY reason I would go, there are other things I would want to talk about too, trust me…
And I’m not even sure if I have an STD…
And I have some kind of hormone problem, maybe… because all of a sudden since last year I have been looking more masculine, and have thicker, dark hair growing. and my boobs and hips are smaller than before, and my arms and thighs are fatter and I’m even growing hair by my ears that could look like a beard so I have to always wear my hair down and in my face. But apparently that can’t be caused by an STD?
I have some symptoms that could be like a yeast infection, and then red and swollen-ness. So do I have an STD or just a hormone problem?? For anyone that has experience with this (which I realize most haven’t)

None of the symptoms you are describing have anything to do with STD’s. So do not stress about that anymore.

What you are describing seems like a sudden increase in testosterone levels in your body. This causes abnormal hair growth and some of the other symptoms you are describing. What concerns me is why this is happening.

I suggest you set your fears aside and go to a doctor and have this investigated. There may be nothing wrong. But it never hurts to go see a doctor. I wish you well in the future.

yeast infection boric acid and sex?

I am going to start using boric acid pills to try to fix my yeast infection. However, I have had this for almost a year, my husband and I thought I had gotten rid of it but clearly i hadn’t. He isn’t showing any signs and saw the doctor, but the doctor didn’t do a test. Can men be treated with boric acid? Can we have sex while on boric acid? How do I get him treated since the infection is resistant to over the counter stuff? Thank you!
