Chronic Yeast Infection Cure Archives

Have you seen a doctor?? And I read about this woman who had a continual yeast infection… until her doctor realized that the husband was a baker who was always handling yeast. So if you can think of an outside source that could be re-infecting you, there’s your problem.

You also could be picking it up from your partner during normal sex. Everyone has yeast on their skin naturally. Some are more susceptible to infection than others. So he may have to medicate to get rid of it on himself. In fact, he could be re-infecting you.

Here’s the scoop:
I’ve been to my doctor multiple times to try to resolve this issue (pap smear and all), but nothing comes up.
I’ve tried multiple yeast infection medications, but nothing works for more than 2 days (after the treatment is finished).
It’s just leaking all the time… And the discharge is not healthy, but according to doctors I have nothing.

Yeast infection? Any sure-fire ways to cure them?

If they are soing smears (i.e. looking under a scope) and finding yeast, then they simply need to try either mulitple medications at once, a medication that is more specific to the type of yeast that is present (there are 8 that are common) and/or they need to try something for a longer period of time…..

Have they checked your blood sugar levels, estrogen levels, etc?

Is it that there is nothing showing up on the scope?
In which case you simply have a discharge you aren’t crazy about – thats quite common. IF that is the case, you might want to try rephresh gel – its available at walgreens/walmart – I’ll include the link so you can read up on what its about – since typing it would be redundant ;)

Good Luck

does anyone know of a feminine wash or pill not to just treat a yeast infection but to also prevent chronic yeast from coming back?

Actually, washes can make chronic yeast infections worse, as can antibiotics. The main reason is because there are beneficial microorganisms (called probiotics) that are in both the intestinal tract and the vagina that help to maintain a healthy internal ecology. Simply put, that means that the probiotics help prevent yeast growth and/or buildup.
Anyway, the vaginal washes can wash out the bacteria (both good and bad) and the antibiotics kill most any bacteria in the body (again, both good and bad bacteria).

I’ve talked to many women that had yeast infections on a normal basis that started taking a good quality probiotic and the occurrence of yeast infections dropped dramatically. Good luck!

I’ve had semi chronic candisis infections for years, it’s worse when I’m on the pill, eat any sugar, eat to much bread or don’t eat yogert, I’ve tried apple cider vinnigar and tree tree oil, with good short term effect put no long term soulutions. Diflucan will knock it back, but after my next piriod it will come back, and all the over the counter stuff is worse then usless.

anyone have a magic bullet?
what worked for you?
I should add that I have taken probiotics on and of over te years, like the yogert, if I keep up with them they can help alot. but they can also be very expesive, and I’d rather not have to take them continusly for the rest of my life.
from the reserch I’ve done (mostly in my micobiology text book) the yeast seems to either prefer or create an acidic enviroment, so any tips on increasing alkalinity would be great.

thanks for all the sugestions?

I have found that Azo makes a yeast infection cure that works whether you actually have an infection, or simply get recurrent ones. You take several tablets a day during an infection, and otherwise you take on pill daily. There is a link on their site that will tell you what stores carry their products, and a coupon! I think they should pay me for advertising, pfft.
