Mouth Yeast Infection Archives

ahhhhhhhhhhh

The best way to describe the look of it is it looks like you have a white or cream colored layer of raised scum on your tongue sometimes on the roof of your mouth, gums and back of your throat and typically you cant brush it off. It can be pain full and bleed if brushing the area

So I think I have a yeast infection. I’m not entirely sure, but I’m almost sure. If my boyfriend.."ate me out" and licked around that area, could he get infected some how? What kind of infection would he get? And what if after he did that, he kissed me? Could I possibly get infected?

What you are describing is called "oral thrush" or just "thrush". It can be transmitted to a mouth and results in painless white sores inside the mouth. Antifungal (It’s not really "yeast" as you might think of bread, but a fungal infection) treatments are available. But http://herpes-coldsores.com/std/yeast_infection.htm notes that if your BF were to get those symptoms it’d be best for you both to get a medical confirmation that it is indeed,

http://sexuality.about.com/od/saferse1/a/safer_oral_sex.htm

states that oral sex can transfer "yeast", from vagina to mouth and also the other direction. It seems reasonable that mouth to mouth contact might also result in infection. However, if, for instance your BF had oral thrush and you did not have a vaginal infection of it, kissing only would not create a vaginal infection.

However neither page seemed to indicate th liklihood of such transfers happening, only the possibilities. The best approach, if you had a yeast infection (Candidiasis) is to get it diagnosed by a doctor as the same symptoms can be caused by other things. Get cured, then woo-hoo! Make whoopee!

PS- many women will take an over the counter remedy for yeast infection and that seems a reasonable approach if it is not a major infection and if it works immediately. If it does nto work then you must go to the doctor to find out what is going on down there.

If you have a yeast infection, and you finished your shower and you dried your area down there, then someone touches that area on the towel 10 mins later, could they get a yeast infection like that? Or if you put the towel up to your face, could you get a yeast infection on your face/mouth?

It’s possible to spread, though not to a face or mouth. Grab some sugar free yogurt, L. acidophilus, wash the towel in hot water, and boil your undies.

YES, THE TONSILS AND BACK OF THROAT WOULD LOOK RED AND OFTEN PEPPERED WITH WHITE COTTAGE CHEESE SPOTS. THAT CAN BE RUBBED AWAY. OFTEN THE INFECTION FOLLOWS ANTIBIOTIC USE.

does any one know wat i do to get rid of it?? i reall yneed to know…

you should go to the doctor..it can turn serious quickly.

You need to consult a doctor. There is medication available that you swish in your mouth, then swallow. A couple of the most common ones are Nystatin & Diflucan. It’s just an antifungal that will get rid of the yeast pretty quickly. Also, what caused the yeast? Lots of antibiotics will lead to this. Perhaps there’s another medication this person could take if this is the cause.

My boyfriend claims that his mouth infection is because he went down on me when I had a yeast infection. I say "no way" and now he won’t talk to me. Can anyone tell me?
Do you think I was wrong to not tell him I had a yeast infection before he went down on me?

You would think that your BF would have smelled you coming from a mile away with a yeast infection. I’m surprised he didn’t notice the cottage cheese coming out of your nether regions before he decided to stick his tongue down there. His mouth infection probably stems from the result of him kissing a herp-infected female rather than the transfer of yeast. If he won’t talk to you, just go cheat on him but make sure you get rid of your yeast infection first.

yes its called thrush and its from him giving his partner who has a yeast infection oral sex. he needs to be treated with an antibiotic like any woman

I’ve just finished taking antibiotics for ulcers in my mouth(yeast infection my Dr. said). I also had rash on my private part to & fever blisters. The fever blisters haven’t gone away and feels like my mouth is getting sore again and also sore on my private spot. Can anyone help me to rid this problem?

Stop kissing people with disease…sounds like herpies
