Mouth Yeast Infection Archives

A few days ago my boyfriend gave me oral sex. Thing is i have a yeast infection and i was worried if he could get a yeast infection in his mouth after this one time we’ve ever done oral sex. I made out with him afterwards as well, so, could i have got it into my mouth??.. i’m just really worried…

Yes to both. Go to the docs and get some oral antibiotics or you will just keep perpetuating it.

please help it scare me
im not talking about when u wear lip gloss

It was a man that i saw with that white stuff

or does it come from smoking

It’s probably just from something he ate. Or sometimes when you talk a lot and your mouth gets dry it gets a little foamy and looks like there is white stuff on your lips.

I doubt he had a yeast infection in his mouth but it is possible. Don’t let it scare you, its just an infection. Just don’t be making out with him.

The four clinical forms of oral candidiasis are:

Moniliasis or thrush — a smooth creamy white or yellow coating on any oral surface (When the surface is wiped off, a red underlying tissue is revealed.);
Erythematous — red, peeling patches, most commonly on the palate and tongue;
Hyperplastic (chronic) — extra tissue that cannot readily be wiped off and may appear discolored because of staining caused by foods or tobacco;
Angular cheilitis — red cracks at the corners of the mouth often covered by a pseudo membrane. Angular cheilitis can occur with other forms of candidiasis or appear separately. Angular chelitis from oral candidiasis has to be differentiated from similar cracks caused by vitamin B complex deficiency, dysmenorrhea, lip licking, loss of teeth or their wear, or sun exposure.

Symptoms

Oral candidiasis may cause burning or painful sensations but most often is asymptomatic. Other symptoms that may be yeast connected include a craving for sugar, alcohol, or bread; digestive problems; fatigue; depression; and muscle or joint pains.

It’s called thrush, and I know babies get it. What about adults?

I haven’t had it, but I know that is seems to be more prone in people with HIV (Don’t reference me on that, it’s just what I heard).

As I said above, I’ve been juicing lots of carrots & oranges & I know that those are sweet. Could that be it?

Also, my ears get stopped up the instant I drink water (& stay that way for a couple of hours). That is what made me go to the dr & he said possibly yeast. I have no thrush symptoms, etc, but a couple of weeks ago some sores started to pop up in my mouth, went away & have done the same now 3 times. Food doesn’t taste right & I notice a sort of "slickness" behind my front teeth.

I am at my wits end. The dr prescribed Nystantin, but I’d prefer to go natural & try baking soda. Is that ok? Like a tsp to 1/2 a glass water. Will that make you have a lot of stomach gas?

Thanks! I sure hope someone has some answers here!

The foods that you have been eating probably have nothing to do with it (unless it is really old and is starting to go spoiled). More then likely it is if you smoke, take oral meds (steroids & antibiotics), are becoming pregnant, taking the pill (basiclly hormonal changes) or…

…you are eating yeast.

…ew :P

J/K (hopefully)

The reason you are probably stopped up is that the infection has affected your Eustachian tubes (tubes that drain your ear into your throat. Nasty? Yes…). You can to pop you ears (pinch your nose and blowslightly until they pop) unless it is too painful.

Baking soda can work. but drinking plenty of water & eating natural yogurt is easier and probably won’t upset your stomach (don’t know about the baking soda causing gas tho), but you should ask your Doc.

Good Luck.

im 19 years old, ive never had a yeast infection before?

yes because you need some medication to get rid of it.

any tablets which by mouth for yeast infection?

If you have tried one of the nonprescription medicines and it has not worked for you, your provider may prescribe a medicine such as an antifungal medicine taken by mouth..

i just got a new lip piercing about a week ago and i think i might have gotten an yeast infection on my lip. but im not exactly sure what it is supposed to look like if it really is a yeast infection. does anyone know how it looks like? . also how do you treat it.

if it were a yeast infection it would be a thick pasty yellow/white caoting all over your mouth and especialy your tongue. i have had several piercings and 3 of them are on my lip and tounge. the mouth is one of the more difficult places to get a peircings because it is loaded with bacteria and is always moist. more than likely it is irritated or is holding fluid. buy a sugar free mouth wash. the best kind is the brown listerine(the others have sugar) and rinse with it everytime you eat, smoke. also take a qtip with the mouth wash on it and run it along the outer side of your lip at the base of the ring. if you get a green substance coming out then you will need anti biotics becuase it is infected.

A friend says yes, because women have yeast in the vagina even when there is no infection. Do you agree?

It’s not about agreement. It’s a fact anyone can get one at any time.

Yeast is a fungus and it’s everywhere and in everyones body but sometimes it manages to overgrow. Simple fact.

You are more likely to get oral thrush if you have vaginal thrush, that doesn’t mean you’ve been licking yourself down below.

But if you have supicions about your partner then by all means go with that, but don’t due to a yeast infection. They can be passed but that is not the only way people get them.
