My 2-months old boy has a mouth thrush. We did 10 days treatment with Nystatin, but the white patches are still there! My nipples are bright pink too, which is a sign they are infected.
How did you get rid of it?
I had the same problem with my son. I took him to the doctor to get him some medicine. For yourself you’ll need an antifungal cream on your nipples or they’ll start to get really itchy after each feed. You both need treatment as you will only keep reinfecting each other which is maybe why the Nystatin didn’t seem to work.
i have somthing like yeast infection in my mouth and the doctor gived me some medicines to take and it dnt go away and i found dark red spot in my inner cheek and i don’t know what is that exactly and i didn’t have fever or anything strange just this infection in my mouth.i justw ant to know is it really yeast infection or something else because i am not sure of this doctor..
Hi there,
It sounds like it may be thrush you’re suffering from. I would try some oil of oregano, make sure to get a dropper bottle and take 3 drops x3 per day. Take some water with it and swish it around your mouth for atleast 2 minutes then swallow. Oregano Oil is incredibly effective against oral yeast infections.
You may also want to buy some acidophilus probiotics and chew on a capsule in your mouth to directly apply the beneficial bacteria to the infected spot. All of these methods will prove useful even if the sore turns out to be any other type of infection.
Good luck with it.
my tummy gurgles all the time and has tons of gas bubbles all day
i also have a whitish film on tongue
is it yeast? if so how to get rid of it?i had all this for months now
I have a natural healing book this is the info in it.
candiada albicans yeast grows more rapidly when the body has a lack of iron/magnesium., zinc or vitamin deficiency.
theyeast than obtains these vital mineral and vitamins from foods depriving the body of those nutrients. the result is continuing symptoms of deficiency and a weakened immune system
try to eat abundant fruit and vegetables and whole grains.
Yeast infections usually result form a weakened immune system taking plant extracts of
echinacea/ astragalus/ and siberian ginseng can support you immuine defenses make sure that they are of good quality
To kill yeast once you have an infection try plant based fungicides such as grapefruit seed extract and herbal teas including "mate tea" taking supplements of acidophilus and eating yogurt with live cultures (plain unsweatened 1%) help to restore the good bacteria in your intestine
to avoid reinfection
wash underwear /stockings/ towels in hot water 140 F to kill yeast cells
ware cotton underware(synthetics make yo usweat more the extra moisture provides good growing conditions )
toothbrushes are frequent sources of transmission and reinfectons change your toothbruch every four weeks and more during infections.
use a soap free washing lotion to prevent injury to the skin’s protective acid coating/ be sure to dry your skin very thoroughly after washing.
the reasons for all of these procations is once you have it one place you can spread to others
NOTE:
grapefruit seed extract is a highlyeffective antibiotic and fungicide. it kills candida yeast without harming natureal intestinal flora.
you can get this in capsule form at some pharmacies and health foods stores
ok i have a yeast infection, last night me and my bf had sex, and he gave me oral sex, then he kissed me, can i get the yeast infection in my mouth too? don’t ask y i didn’t use protection?
Hi! Peachy Keen is WRONG about yeast infections being caused by "bacteria" – they are caused by YEAST organisms, which are fungi, not bacteria. The spores are everywhere around us and on us all the time, so a yeast infection is NOT a sign of dirtiness. It’s just that the environment of your skin has changed slightly and allowed the spores to grow and multiply enough to cause you irritation.
Yes, you can get a yeast infection in your mouth, but it is unlikely. (Babies often get them.) The common medical term for this is candidiasis (otherwise known as thrush), caused by the candida albicans organism.
Here is a link to a recent question about this issue, which includes details on how to treat a yeast infection:

No need to feel guilty!!
i think my bf has yeast infection and i give him oral sex , so i am just curious if this can be passed on to me and what are the signs of a yeast infection in the mouth?
your answers are greatly appreciated.
yeah, i also see very few tiny bumps under the head of his penis.
It could be thrush. If you think it may be caused by STD I would speak to your doctor about it.
Thrush is an infection of the mouth caused by the candida fungus, also known as yeast. Candida infection is not limited to the mouth; it can occur in other parts of the body as well, causing diaper rash in infants or vaginal yeast infections in women.
Thrush can affect anyone, though it occurs most often in babies and toddlers, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems.
Thrush usually develops suddenly, but it may become chronic, persisting over a long period of time. A common sign of thrush is the presence of creamy white, slightly raised lesions in your mouth – usually on your tongue or inner cheeks – but also sometimes on the roof of your mouth, gums, tonsils, or back of your throat. The lesions, which may have a "cottage cheese" appearance, can be painful and may bleed slightly when you scrape them or brush your teeth. In severe cases, the lesions may spread into your esophagus, or swallowing tube, causing:
Pain or difficulty swallowing
A feeling that food gets stuck in the throat or mid-chest area
Fever, if the infection spreads beyond the esophagus
Thrush can spread to other parts of the body, including the lungs, liver, and skin. This happens more often in people with cancer, HIV, or other conditions that weaken the immune system.
What Causes Thrush?
Small amounts of the candida fungus are present in the mouth, digestive tract, and skin of most healthy people and are normally kept in check by other bacteria and microorganisms in the body. However, certain illnesses, stress, or medications can disturb the delicate balance, causing the fungus candida to grow out of control, causing infection.
Medications that upset the balance of microorganisms in the mouth and may cause thrush include corticosteroids, antibiotics, and birth control pills. Illnesses or medical situations that make candida infection more likely to develop include uncontrolled diabetes, HIV infection, cancer, dry mouth, or pregnancy (caused by the hormonal changes that occur with pregnancy). People who smoke or wear dentures that don’t fit properly also are at increased risk for thrush. In addition, babies can pass the infection to their mothers during breast-feeding.
I have been taking a type of steroid for COPD and developed a yeast infection of the mouth. It is very painful and causes everything to burn my mouth therefore not able to eat much of anything. Could someone please help me resolve this problem as soon as possible so I can enjoy the New Years meal anyway. Thanks
You have thrush, go see your doctor. He will give you a swish and swallow or spit medication that will take care of it in a few days.
