Penile Yeast Infection Archives

hi. my girlfriend found out that she may (and probably does) have a vaginal yeast infection. we have been sexually active for about 4 1/2 months now and i ended up getting symptoms of a penile yeast infection.

her symptoms are: roughness inside of labia, severe itching, white cottage cheese like stuff coming out of her vagina which does not smell.

my symptoms are: tiny red bumps on the head of my penis, severe itching, white oozy stuff coming out, rash on the head, tenderness on the head, and i am uncircumcised.

now, this does sound just like symptoms of yeast infections in both of us, but there is something else concerning me.
next to my girlfriend’s right thigh and about 2 or 3 inches from her right labia is a bump that has been there a month or so. it got a little bigger, then turned red and then a purplish color. she popped it last night and it has kinda been oozing blood and a weird liquid ever since.

anybody know if this could be linked to a yeast infection? or if not, what is it?
please help.

Yipes! It sounds like you both have all KINDS of STD’s. You: See a doctor. She: got herpes

Will penile yeast infections go away on its own? If not, what kind of natural treatment can I give it? I am not circumcised and the only symptoms I have is the white discharge coming out of my penis and the tip of the penis swollen. Because of this, I prefer not medication that needs to be applied directly onto the penis.
i am a virgin

If you have not seen a doctor, how do you know it’s a yeast infection? If you are ABSOLUTELY sure, try Monistat, it’s not just for women only.

I was recently prescribed penicillin (tablets) for a good length of time. I also (simultaneously) discovered that my deodorant caused my skin to peel off my underarms (I discontinued use).

Now, I have a constant burning sensation at the very tip of my penis and just a very minor red irritated spot directly above my urethra.

Upon waking in the morning, I typically feel no pain whatsoever. Shortly after urinating though I begin to feel a constant burning sensation that is almost unbearable.

There is no pus, discharge of any kind, and it is not uncomfortable during urination (only afterwards).

Due to the heavy antibiotics and possibility of bacteria seeping into my body through my skin-less underarms, I’m betting that I have a yeast infection – is that a good hypothesis?

Thanks!

PS – Possibility of an STD is *highly* unlikely (if you catch my drift)

It sounds like a urinary track infection

I was on antibiotics for about 10 days and on the last day my penis head got really red and sensitive and the skin began to peel. I am uncircumcised. I also had painless non itching red bumps all over my penis head, they looked more like red pimples not like blisters. I also get a small amount of clear discharge now and then.So i applied antifungal cream and the red bumps were gone the next day but the redness and sensitivity was still there. A few days later the red bumps came back. And again i got rid of them with the cream. So they keep coming and going. My question is this a yeast infection or something else? Would something like herpes go away with anti fungal cream and come back? Thanks.
i did visit the doctors but unfortunately the day i went the red bumps were gone when i went so he just took a glance and saw redness and said it was most likely yeast infection. Any yes i had sex while i was on the antibiotics, so thats why i am concerned it might be something else. thanks guys

Yes, this sounds like penile yeast infection (thrush). It can keep coming back because it feeds on the sugar in your blood. You have to cut way back on sweets and carbs until it is completely gone.

Okay, well about 3 days ago I noticed small white spots at the base of my head and then my foreskin became itchy. The head of my penis became reddish and splotchy and my foreskin has many small itchy red bumps all over it. Today I went to the the doctor and she said yeast infection. She gave me a pill I guess that kills everything for days. It takes 24 hrs to kick in and everything. She gave me a second pill just in case I needed it. I am also putting lotrimin on my penis and foreskin 2 times a day after a shower in the morning and night. WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO HAVE MY PENIS BACK TO NORMAL (COLORATION AND LOOK). I want my guy back :( ADVICE and personal experiences please!

The one issue I strongly recommend to everyone like you is "have you learned your lesson ?" and the next time use protection, ask the person when in doubt. It’ll go away but give it time. Usually three to five days.

ok, yesterday in the evening i started getting an itching sensation on the shaft of the penis and the head. well, i started itching and it got red and hot. every time i itched it hurt more afterward and got irritable. the vary same night i started scracthing my face and in the morning i found poison ivy on the side of my face. i thought maby if i took a shower the ivy would come off. but it didnt. it still remained itchy, hot, and very fat and swollen. i looked on line and it kinda of resembles a male yeast infection. but then, its pretty rare for men, and i randomly developed poison ivy the same night my penis itched. which one is it? i really do not want a yeast infection.

I’m almost sure you’re experiencing a reaction to poison ivy. Buy a tube of hydrocortisone 1% cream and apply it to the affected areas; it’s available OTC at any drugstore.

Hello, Matt again. I think I might have a yeast infection. It has been there for a while now, the bumps on my glans, itchy, and smelly discharge coming from my genital area. I think I might have a yeast infection. I told my mom about it, she will bring me to the walk-in clinic later on this week to find out what it is. So if you think it’s a yeast infection, let me know. It’s red, itchy, smelly, I have 3 bumps about the size of a pea, and stings if I try to touch the end of my glans, because I can’t retract my foreskin to fully expose the glans, I just try to wash what I can, the end of my penis, and it stings, really bad.

Any insight would be helpful.
Matt. :)

You are asking one of the common questions which uncircumcised men concern.

First, let me talk about how to retract your foreskin. My comment is based on my experience so you may have to seek a professional assistance. I had a thick and a long foreskin. I could not see my pee hole (even erection!) when I was 19 years old. I started a daily stretching exercise at 19. I did as far as I could each day. ?I did not force to retract the foreskin “all the way”. This was because I wanted to continue until I could achieve my goal without giving up. I could see a “tip” of the head some point but when my underwear touched the “tip”, I felt pain. I did the exercise when I took a shower in an evening. I do not recommend you to do in a morning shower. You may have to go to school so you are in a hurry. Do this carefully. Pull back your foreskin and expose the “head” as far as you can. When I released my hand, my foreskin covered the "head". Then, I pulled it back again. Repeat this process. After the shower, I pulled back the foreskin in my bed room. Due to the thick foreskin, it covered the head again. That was fine. Pull back again. Repeat this.?I made sure I pulled back my foreskin as much and far as I could before I went to sleep. The foreskin covered the head while I was sleeping. This was fine. I retracted it when I woke up for pee.?During a day, I retracted my foreskin. Whenever you go to a restroom, retract your foreskin. Repeat this. The catch of this message is that your foreskin gets used to stay retracted like circumcised one for a long period of time. An out come is that my foreskin stays retracted. I still keep pulled it back when I go to bed. You must be patient. It took me two to three years until I was able to comfortably retract my foreskin and it stays retracted as if a circumcised one. I cover the head when necessary.

The second issue is how to keep and maintain clean. You can not just focus on the retracting issue because both of them go hand in hand. To get started, you should consider a general hygiene standard. When take a shower, how do you wash your body? How do you wash your hands? I the shower room, I assume you rub your entire body from your neck to the bottom of your tip toe by using a body towel. Of course, soap is well soaked to rub your skin smoothly. You put soap on your hands and rub these, right? The reason is to wash off the dirt on the skin. So, when you wash your body, you retract your foreskin and rub the "head" gently by using the soaped towel. Of course, if you can not retract your foreskin all the way at this point, you do as far as you can for time being. You wash your hands before you masturbate. Your hands contain bunches of germs or may have flu virus. This is all you need to do on a daily basis. My suggestion is reconsider your hygiene standard as well.
The third issue is about masturbation because I assume that a healthy man does it. I had a concern about my way. My method is that I cover the “head” when I masturbate. This is a time when I pull it off to rub my foreskin. I place cute guys` photos in magazines on my foreskin (Well, if you like girls, replace "guy" by "girl" in my comment!). These magazines are BOP, Tiger Beat or Pop Star you can buy at Target, Walmart or grocery stores. If you like girls, these magazines also have pretty young girl teen stars. I also use photo books. For example, Zac Efron ME & YOU, which are available at Amazon. They contain bunches of cute guys` photos. Moreover, if you are under a legal age, you can still buy these magazines without violating a local law you live. By rubbing the foreskin on these guys` (girls`) photos, I can eventually ejaculate on my favorite teen stars` face. Be sure, you wipe these pages after the ejaculation. You think about it why. Although my method involved rubbing my foreskin, this did not affect anything and my foreskin stays retracted, otherwise.

Finally, I want to bring up a pit fall of circumcision if you are planning to choose this option. You should know that when a doctor cuts off your foreskin, the doctor makes extra cash income out of your foreskin. Be smart!!! The United States is the only civilized country where boys are chopped by knives. Iinvestigate why. For example, circumcisions are not common in Japan. A typical doctor will ask you to improve your general hygiene standard which I have already explained earlier except doctors who love to make money out of your foreskin chopping. Dr. Shinya Komuro, who is a urologist at Atsugi Municipal hospital located in Atsugi-city in Japan, says no circumcisions are needed even phimosis. According to him, there are three types of phimosis but all cases are solved without any surgery. Dr. Toshimi Nishimura (He received a medical doctor degree at Medical Schookl of Kanazawa University in Japan) contributed number of articles about teens` health and bullying at schools in a monthly magazine “Myojyo”. Also, “Duet” is a similar magazine exclusively published for teenage girls (so, most of pin up photos are cute guys). All of these books/magazines are available at Amazon Japan.

Those who support circumcision may say that it is easy to clean, for sake of health reason or it looks good. It this was the truth, why don`t you go to a dentist and pull off all of your teeth? You do not have to brush your teeth, so it is “easy” to clean your mouth and can reduce getting cavity! You know these are nonsense. Having foreskin is the same reason. It is our responsibility to keep clean ourselves. If your partner (either boy friend or girlfriend) seeks “easiness”, then you should rather doubt his/her hygiene standard. May be, you are dating with a dirty person but you are tricked by his/her appearance or good smell of perfume. Those people are ignorant, so they can not make a rational argument. You should ignore these comments. Thus, you also want to improve your critical thinking skill to find out the truth.

If you still have a problem, then you see a doctor. Should the doctor recommend you circumcision, you had better to visit multiple doctors to seek objective opinions. Some doctors do not care about you but money. Of course, you may want to up date your progress in Yahoo Answers as well. Having a foreskin is much more pleasure as you can see. If you have a question, let me know.

Good Luck.

ok so went to doc a few days ago and got a diagnosis of penile candidiasis. I got it from my gf about a month ago when she was on heavy antibiotics. so i went to doc, gave me oral antifungal pills and this cream that i’ve been putting on every 8 hours and everytime i sweat or do an activity. so far i believe i’ve gotten better. it doesnt hurt as much anymore (it hurt to take the foreskin back, now it doesnt at all). but today after an about 20 minutes shower washing my part, i noticed that when i got out it was bleeding from a spec on the foreskin i had gotten the bleeding thing before when i wasnt on medication but hasn’t happened recently once i took it. is this normal? the bleeding only hurts when i bother the side. could it be from the yeast irritation/rash thingy?

This is not normally found with yeast. I have heard that some women get yeast infections for so bad and so long that they might have some bleeding but this is usually only after having repeated yeast infections for months. I doubt that the bleeding is from the yeast. Definitely call the doctors office though. I’m guessing they gave you Diflucan or the generic form and I don’t believe any bleeding is a side effect of that drug.

Hello, about 4 days ago my bf and I had sexual intercourse and the very next day we both seem to have gotten a yeast infection. I’ve had them before so I know I have it, but during the 7 years Ive been with my bf, this is the first time Ive seen him have one. His head is red and theres a rash on it that he says is itchy. Around the ring of his head is dry and peeling. He says it hurts when he pulls his skin back (he IS circumcised) Im assuming he has a Penile Yeast infection from the symptoms Ive looked up, problem is, I cant find anything on treatments. We cant afford to go to a doctor as we just went for me because I had Pharyngitis and they prescribed me meds, so were still payin for that (no insurance or money) I usually drink water and cranberry juice for my yeast infections but what are some home treatments that work for MALE yeast infections. I would like some advice from the male part since you guys would know best if uve had one before. But any advice is wanted
I just feel bad for him :( it looks horrible and painful. And hes scrubbing it with a wash cloth making the skin look raw. which I dont think is helping.

I had the same thing before, and my doctor prescribed me an over the counter topical cream. It’s called Clotrimazole 1%, this cream which is also used for athletes foot. You don’t have to buy the expensive brand, I have learned, everything is the same, just with brand names. Cheapest one should cost you about 5-6 bucks. Hope this answer helps you…

(just apply it to the affected area, don’t rub it in like lotion, just apply it, but in a even layer)

something attainable through a drugstore pls.

ya you can get yeast cream from the drugstore it’s the same as when women get a yeast infection, monastat or some one brand name is good, yeast infection for a man usually happen when the women has one and you have had sex
Don’t put Jock Itch spray or Just Soap and Water IT WILL NOT go away on it’s own!!!!
