Penile Yeast Infection Archives

i have a mild yeast infection, would a parter contract something if he was to give me oral sex?

this is a penile yeast infection, a mild one as well.

The only transmission I know of is vaginal sex. I know if a man has a penile yeast infection he can give it to a woman. I saw nothing about oral sex though. I would abstain just to be sure not to transmit anything.

I heard plain yogurt can also help… What can be used without seeing a Doctor?

i found an interesting site… explaining how to…
**do it yourself**
a while ago, i received an email from a gentleman who, on the advice of a doctor, had tried using an over-the-counter vaginal cream (Monistat) to treat his penile yeast infection. i guess he just rubbed the stuff on the outside of his penis. anyway, he said that it didn’t work at all until he added a few drops of white vinegar to it to a small blob of cream, and then it worked overnight.

he also warned against applying straight vinegar, which eats right through the skin. ’nuff said.

since posting that suggestion, i’ve received quite a few emails from people whose doctors have recommended applying Monistat directly to the surface of the penis to cure yeast infections. most say it works fine. so hey, i guess you can go ahead and try it, and if it doesn’t start to work in a day or two, try adding a little vinegar. what do you have to lose? (okay, maybe it could fall off.)

Hope this helps…. n bythe way… most regular vaginal yeast infection kits can be bought at ur local walgreens… in womens healt section…

I’ve read that it is unlikely that a cut guy will ever get one.

no dude, ive been cut for abt 5 years now…havnt had ne such issues. infact it is more hygenic to have a cut dick…guess u gotta make sure that u wash ur penis everytime after sex and urination…or wipe it dry atleast.

i have tiny pink dots on the end of my foreskin but you can only see them if i retract the foreskin, no burning or itching at all. do i have a yeast infection?

You could, could be herpes or something else too

What medications over the counter can be used for the male?

Flucanozole

The only symptom is red patchy places on the penis and some dry/flaky skin. There is no itching, burning, or pain when urinating. The red patches have been present for about two weeks. Could it be a yeast infection or something else?

The symptoms and signs of a yeast infection vary according to the equipment. If you are intact(uncircumcised) you are apt to have itching, redness and excess moisture under your foreskin. If you are circumcised, the yeast may confine itself to red patches and some puckered dry, shiny areas on your glans. If you want to make your own diagnosis, get some antifungal cream and apply it to your glans twice a day for two weeks. Don’t wash with antibacterial soap because it may inhibit the growth of friendly bacteria that keep yeast-like forms from proliferating.
There is no urgency about treatment but if the cream does not help try to see your doctor . Yeast thrives in warm moist areas like the penis, behind the scrotum and around your perineum.
