Just curious if maybe he had it or he got it from me if I had one. Could he be giving it back to me. The last two times we’ve had sex I got one. I don’t use soap on vaginal areas or use anything scented. Always wear cotton underwear so I have worked to keep them at bay.
He does use scented soap though, could that also be a cause. We are commited partners and do not use condoms but use birth control. Also heard birth control could be a cause.
Any one have the same problem and have any suggestions. I will be going to the dr but want others opinions who have gone through it for any other things you have tried.
My doctor told me to avoid using soap but just use water and a sponge as it is not necessary.
He is circumcised.
Absolutely!
Candida albicans is something shared by BOTH partners!
If one (sexual) partner does not get treated, then you end up innocently re-infecting each other.
Keep in mind that men often are asymptomatic! (no symptoms)
Yeast infections have a lot to do with a person’s personal pH factors. Women naturally have "healthy" bacteria reside in the intestines and the vagina. Yet, there are reasons for the "over abundance" of these otherwise "good bacterias."
Wet/moist bathing suits.
Sitting for long periods of time (such as a secretary/desk clerk position or one confined to a wheelchair)
Oral contraceptives (you may need to try another modem)
Antibiotics consumption (try using natural yogurt to balance pH there)
Synthetic fabrics for undergarments, or g-strings/pressure on vulvas.
Fragrance soaps &/or fabric softeners.
Perfumes, douches with vinegar bases, etc.
Poor diets, or ones high in carbohydrates.
Stress.
THINGS YOU CAN DO TO ELIMINATE YOUR PROBLEMs:
Pro biotic lactobacillus acidophilus (insert like suppository nite)
Never use soaps ‘down there’
Try tea tree oils or tea tree soaps (also good on rashes)
Alternate good soap is Neutrogena
‘Blow dryer’ your area thoroughly post showering.
(this makes bacteria "back away" cause bacteria needs moisture)
Make sure you fully ‘dry’ the entire perineum (lips & backside, too)
NEVER use vaseline or any petroleum based products down there.
(because Vaseline breeds bacteria!!)
Wear only cotton briefs. . or none at all . . . let air dry under a skirt.
Bring a zip-lock baggie to work w/fresh panties to change ea 4hrs.
Put away all your sexey g-strings for now… until infection clears.
Eat really healthy, live foods. eliminate sugars altogether.
Try eating Salad for breakfast!
Eliminate ALL Vinegar. yes, you read right.
(Vinegar changes pH . . . & promotes yeast!!!)
Absolutely DO NOT use vinegar douches or any douches for now.
Get PLENTY of rest. do Yoga. eliminate stress best you can.
Boil garlic. place inside vagina at night (as a natural suppository)
Change your oral contraceptives to an alternate method of BC.
Stop using fabric softeners of any kind.
Follow your doctor’s orders specifically.
Abstain from sexual intercourse for a duration…till the green light!!
Keep in mind. Doctors do not always diagnose the problem. They’re rushed, understaffed, may not get an appropriate "sample" to test, etc. So, take charge of your own health. Keep clean! (wink)
Hope this helps! Wellness to YOU!!
