Signs Of Yeast Infection Archives

me and my gf had protected sex a few weeks ago, and she was fine for like a week and a half then after i fingered her a few times she said she was having alot of pain down there… and she got it checked and the doc said its a yeast infection… shes didnt have morning sickness or anyhting just a sore vag….

is a yeast infection a sign of early pregnancy??

Well, I just positive today and have had a yeast infection for the last three. I have had five pregnancies (2 ended in miscarriage) and every time I got a yeast infection just days before testing positive. Other than pregnancy I have had two infections, both at the end of taking antibiotics. For me I would say yes it is a sign, but for others it may not be true and for you it could just be a coincidence.

On my first pregnancy, I had a yeast infection, I thought it was the reason I wasn’t having my period. Well, my husband ask me if I could be pregnant. I kept telling him no just give it another day or two. Well, two weeks after my period was suppose to start we found out that we WERE PREGNANT. So, I would just say, if you think you might be, before you go to the store for some over the counter treatment, pick up a pregnancy test. You can never be too sure. Good Luck!

Is there a strong odour in a yeast infection? How do I know if I have one, or if it’s a bladder infection? 10 pts best answer!

yes! there is a bed strong odor in a yeast infection + there is some itchiness! ! if you have them – you have yeast infection!

and If you really want to get rid of yeast infection then you must follow these tips:

1) Eat yogurt. It contains helpful bacteria (live cultures, including acidophilus and bifidus) that destroy yeast. It also works when applied topically. Insert some into the vagina using a finger or plastic tampon applicator. Use only plain yogurt with active cultures.

2) Douche with a solution of 1 to 3 tbsp. vinegar in a quart of water. Repeat once a day while having symptoms, but no longer than a week.

3) Decrease or eliminate sugar and sugary foods. Sugar promotes yeast growth.

4) Use a garlic clove as a suppository. Garlic contains a natural anti-fungal agent. Peel a fresh clove, wrap it in gauze and insert it into the vagina.

5) Try gentian violet. It’s a traditional remedy for yeast and other infections, and can be found in pharmacies. Swab the area with it once or twice a day. Make sure to use a thick pad – it stains everything.

6) Use an herbal douche. Combine equal amounts of sage, raspberry and comfrey with 1/4 part goldenseal. This can be combined with cider vinegar.

7) You must use herbal treatment. In that case Yeastrol is really good (probably the best) product that gets rid of yeast infection comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that it wont reappear again!
And of course it is better if you use full course (5 months – if I remember correctly). For me it worked very fast + I dont get yeast infections anymore…

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Yeastrol but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.yeastrol.com/?aid=221781

good luck!

If you check out my sources box you’ll be sent to a survey to determine if you are in fact suffering from something more than a yeast infection.

Try to eat more vegetables and less grains. Eat less sugar and yeast as they will both increase yeast infections. Try to avoid buns, breads and pastries.

There is more to it than this, I’d suggest looking up a Candida Diet online to get you started.

If you’re suffering from a yeast infection you can try some safe, natural treatments to eliminate it as well.

They won’t interfere with medication and at the very least help speed up recovery.

There are many things you need to start doing and addressing if you are suffering from a yeast infection. To start, do the following:

1. Wear loose clothing and undergarments, oxygen kills yeast, going commando and wearing nothing down there if possible is even better.

2. Get some unsweetened yogurt and rub it onto a tampon, insert the tampon and do this continually until the yeast infection is gone.

3. Cut out any and all sugar, alcohol and yeast from your diet. All three will promote the infection further.

4. Start drinking cranberry juice, pure not from concentrate with no added sugar, I know this goes against the no sugar thing but the acid content in the cranberries will alter the PH balance of your vagina and cause the yeast to die off.

5. If you can tolerate it, use a raw garlic clove and apply it to the infection, this may burn so dilute it with some olive or coconut oil, both of which can also help eliminate the yeast, especially the coconut.

6. You can also try taking some vitamin B3, many women find their infections resolve quicker when they are taking 300mg/per day.

7. Take a probiotic with at least 50 billion live cells per pill, this is key in redistributing good bacteria throughout your body, and effectively end the yeast infection.

8. Lastly if all else fails, begin adding 2 cups of apple cider vinegar to a bath. Only fill the tub up high enough to submerge your genital area. Stay in the tub for 20-30 minutes at a time.

Hope this helps, the yogurt is the key really, by putting good bacteria directly on the area you will eliminate it quickly. Make sure it is unsweetened and ideally keep an eye out for a variation called Kefir which has even more beneficial bacteria in it to snuff out the infection.

When all is said and done I would suggest you research Candida and take a test to determine if you are suffering from it, as anyone who gets yeast infections has Candida, it’s just a matter of how bad it is.

I had unprotected sex about a month ago two week later i took a pregrancy test because of a weird period I had.Now I’m getting a little cramp in my tummy, alot of back pain and I’m feeling really tired very fast. Also I have a little itching in my vigina but not giving out any substance nor anything smell. It’s pretty clean. The test came out negative did I took it too early should I have wait until a month? If you’re pregant can it make your vigina itch sometimes?

yeast infection causes itching or soreness in the vagina and sometimes causes pain or burning when you urinate or have sex. Some women also have a white discharge that looks a little like cottage cheese and has no odor.
If a yeast infection enters your bloodstream, symptoms may include fever and chills, as well as specific symptoms depending on any organs, such as the kidneys or liver, that may become affected
-
Your first sign of pregnancy may be a missed menstrual period. Other early signs of pregnancy, caused by hormonal changes, include:
Fatigue.
Breast tenderness.
Increased urination.
Fullness or mild aching in your lower abdomen.
Nausea with or without vomiting, also known as morning sickness.
-
it could be a couple other things, if you really want to know the truth i would recommend going to the GYN that’s the safest most confidential place to get the results.

It really could be, yeast infections dont have to have the cottage cheese like discharge. but they always consist of burning and itching.
Go to the doctor, and they will tell you what to do and what to use.

Dog has brownish substance and bitter smell in one ear. Amantadine was first used, and her ears were cleaned, and she still is showing signs of infection. I believe it is probably a yeast infection, and I would like to use some Diflucan to treat her. I don’t know doseage for and 85 lb Labrador.
I have many vets, and docs in my family, and I have diflucan on hand. I only have information on dosage for humans. I would only trust information that were consistant with information I already know… but thanks for the advice…
Non Amantadine… Augmentin…. my bad… I am not a vet, but I have many who are in my family who will be glad to help my when they are not working. I have a doc bringing me some diflucan, and I am just trying to figure out the correct doseage
I should’ve read the rest of the response before, but I needed to correct the amantadine mistake. As far as the topical goes, I have been using some Clotrimazole over the counter cream, but I am worried about going too deep in her canal. I also have worries about pushing any buildup down into her ear when I enter the canal with a swab. I would rather use oral and knock the infection out
To Merlinandmeimei-

If what you say is true, that is quite alarming. I understand that pretty much all store bought dog food is "junk" are mostly 50% filler (grain or rice). My dog would love nothing more to eat an "all meat" diet, and I would love to feed it to her, but there are also heath problems associated with that. Labs (and I think all dogs) have an inherent allergy to beef fat that causes theme to get ill in response to eating beef all of the time. All meat all the time will get expensive, too, can I put her on a meat and guts diet?
….Thanks for the information on how yeast may effect the overall health of a dog throught its life cycle, I will definately look into that information.
…. As far as the Blue Star, perhaps subtracting the alcohol from the mixture (and using the substitute) might be best. I dont think that alcohol would kill the yeast, and might cause drying and inflamation. It is probably something other than the alcohol in the ointment. thks
Merlinandmeimei-

I have also seen yeast used as an ingredient in very many dog foods… What you say about yeast makes alot of sense…

Please contact your vet. He/she is the one qualified to tell you this. Take your dog in to see the vet. He can tell more from seeing her ears. He can also tell you definitely whether or not your doggie has a yeast infection and he can prescribe drops in the correct dosage for her weight and breed.

what are they?
i think i might have one.

Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching
.
Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.

Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle.

Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva

I have been having clumpy discharge for awhile now. Its white. I am 15 years old and i’m a virgin. And I am not taking any birth control pills. Its also very dry and ichy down there . Is it a yeast infection or something else?

It sounds like a yeast infection. I would recommend finding your local planned parenthood or health department, they will give you an examination to find out what it is for sure and then they can give you medication for it. You can probably get it for really low cost or maybe even for free and it’s 100% confidential.

Well, the question says it all. I was just wondering. My discharge is slightly thick, gooey, and white. Also, it’s not smelly. It barely has an odor. (Don’t have my period yet.)

So is this healthy discharge, plus a list of what healthy discharge looks/smells like, and the signs of a yeast infection, in case I get one. (I’m almost 13, by the way)

Thanks :)

Once you start puberty a white and/or clear mucous discharge is normal. The vagina is self-cleaning. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused. Trust me, you don’t ever want it to go away. You will also have your own scent – musky – and it will smell stronger to you than to others.

You can have this normal discharge for weeks, months or even years before getting your first period. It will also continue after you get your period. You can wear a pantyliner if it bothers you.
