My 8 yr old son now has his second yeast infection, his first one was actually on his penis, and that was about 3 months ago. Now he has a yeast infection in one of the folds of skin between his genital are and his leg. It is raw, and he is quite uncomfortable even limping because it hurts him to walk. I myself am a 27 yr old female who has never had a yeast infection, so I know nothing about any of the over the counter medicenes. I have been trying to research what medicene to use on the internet, but I would really like some advice from someone who has maybe had to use this kind of medicene before. Which medicene would most likely work best?
hello there,
you know what, my baby brother has one like right at this moment and this is something my mom does to help with the itch and soreness. (by the way my brother is 9 months old.) Just put your son in a warm bath(let him sit) and put some baking soda in the water and that will clear it up within 5 maybe 6 days. And u can also buy some vitamin e clear gels for him to put on it and that will stop the itching as soon as it is put on there. These are some home remedies that my mom and grandmother use. U will know that the yeast infection will be going away when u see that the area is turning a different color from the original skin color. That just means that it is healing. but this is just a great way to help him without spending so much money on over the counter drugs. just use wat u have at home. and i guarantee u that this works because my brother has only had his for 4 days and his is already going away its just a little spot left . so just try that and i hope it helps your son.
oh yeah make sure he sits in the tub every night with a little baking soda in it…..it wont burn or anything it just a natural medicine to cure his yeast infection………Hope this helped!!!!

Check the ingredients of the food you’re feeding your dog and if there is yeast in it discontinue feeding it to him and get a holistic food. Like Azmira, Eagle pack, Holistic Select, Canidae, or Innova.
yes, and you also may have scratched inadvertently while you were sleeping to cause this as well. be careful!
I am asking about my dog. I know this is not the dog section but they don’t know much about yeast infections. Dogs who have reddish stains under their eyes are said to have this because of yeast. They are called "tear stains" because the eye area gets a little wet from overproduction of tears and then ends up sitting in the hair which in turn breeds yeast. So I wonder, is it the grains or breads in the dog’s diet that causes these yeast infections in the wet hair under the eyes?
I wonder if in humans, they get yeast infections from eating so many refined carbs. Is this true? Then it may be true for dogs who eat too many refined carbs from their kibble.
It could! Especially if the grains are high in sugar and yeast. Although, I heard grain-free kibble is not so great after all… so I would switch to something with very high quality grains… still mostly protein and meat and organs but some grains and veggies and fruits. As long as those are crushed or pureed then the dog can benefit from the many many nutrients!
It is like a dry white flaky..not moist and it is on the side of the penis not the tip…and it is easily irritated and then becomes red or sore…Id like to try something before I see a doctor..maybe monistat??
Yes, you can get a yeast infection from sexual contact with a woman who has a vaginal yeast infection. The same yeast that causes vaginal infections in women can cause infections of the penis in men. However, just because your girlfriend has a genital yeast infection doesn’t mean you’ll get one.
Signs and symptoms of a male yeast infection include a red rash, itching or burning at the tip of your penis. Fortunately, most male yeast infections are easily treated with over-the-counter antifungal treatments, such as Monistat.
To treat a male yeast infection, apply the medication directly to the affected skin twice daily for a week. If the rash doesn’t go away or if it recurs frequently, consult your doctor. Persistent or recurrent yeast infections can be associated with other medical conditions such as diabetes.
When one partner has a genital yeast infection, it’s important for both partners to get treatment. Your girlfriend could infect you, treat her own infection and then get reinfected by having sex with you again. For this reason, it’s generally recommended that you refrain from sexual intercourse until all signs and symptoms of the infection are gone.
Apparently I have a yeast infection all over my body but mainly on my arm and around my arm pits and on my stomach. I have tried ketoconazal pills, carmol 40, clobex, perscription dandruff shampoo, and most recently clotrimazole and betamethasone diipropionate cream. The doctor said that their is nothing left for me to do but see the dermatologist. What would he prescribe me these same medications or somethiing different?
Yeah it’s very uncomfortable around my arms and the colder it gets the more irritated it becomes. It makes my skin look like dried up super glue. And it also itches and burns.
Oh yeah, nystatin was the other one I tried. I was trying to see what other medications because I have student insurance and it doesn’t cover some cost that would still leave me paying a lot out of pocket.
When you go to the dermatologist you should tell him/her all of the medications you have previously tried. Then he/she will try something else.
One solution I can think of is gentian violet, but it might be undesirable because it would dye any affected area bright purple. Ask the dermatologist what he/she recommends.
I am so sorry about your infection. I can only imagine that you are quite uncomfortable.
I don’t know if it’s a yeast infection or not but the skin is brown and he keeps itching it ![]()
The cause of this is because everytime he drinks he gets his neck soaking wet what can I do to heal it because it is staining his fur.
Any chronic skin condition like you’ve described should be examined and properly diagnosed by a vet. That’s the only way to know for certain what treatment will be effective. Irritation like you’ve described could be one of several things including flea allergy, ringworm, scabies, a food allergy, feline acne, reaction to a topical flea preventative or a whole host of other things. Of course, the treatment for each of these conditions varies greatly. You should take your cat to the vet to ensure that he receives proper treatment. The sooner the better.
It never fails…anytime he puts it in and there is skin to skin contact I get a yeast infection, and it’s really annoying! Is it due to bad hygiene on his part? And just so you’re aware, I know for a fact that they are yeast infections and nothing more serious. Please only answer if you have a helpful response. Thank you muchly!
It never fails…anytime he puts it in and there is skin to skin contact I get a yeast infection, and it’s really annoying! I have a yellow discharge that smells funky and my vagina itches sometimes. Is it due to bad hygiene on his part? And just so you’re aware, I know for a fact that they are yeast infections and nothing more serious. Please only answer if you have a helpful response. I asked a doctor once about this, and he opines that an improperly-washed male organ can lead to yeast infection (which unfortunately can be passed on to the woman who will not only get a yellow discharge but also possibly UTI or urinary tract infection). Another is if his private part is not dried off well enough after bathing, that would be an ideal breeding ground not only for yeast but also for fungus. It is not due to bad hygiene but more of improper hygiene.
In order to prevent this (and this was helpful for both my wife and myself), ask your boyfriend to wipe alcohol on his penis (the foreskin and under it, especially the head) after bathing, and before and after sex. Of course, before he inserts it into yours, both of you should make sure it is dry enough; you will only feel pain inside if the alcohol on his penis is not totally dry.
A word of caution for your boyfriend: make sure the alcohol does not penetrate the middle of the head (where the urine and sperm come out)…it hurts!
The 4 of us at times itch. It’s not all over but rather a dot here and a dot there that itches intensely. It starts as a dot that I scratch a few times and it turns all red. When the itching subsides in about 10 minutes, the red fades and I’m left with a faint pink dot. I’ve had them on my foot, hand, arm, shoulder but the worst is right at my bikini line and the same with the others.
Does anyone know if a skin yeast infection could be it?
And just for background, I’m using the same laundry products, which are all naturally derived, and our house is pretty clean. I vacuum several times a week, etc.
It could be mites. You can have these even in a clean house. They are spread from person to person though skin contact or contact with a place they have been sitting or sleeping. You can’t see the mites but they get under the skin.
Do a search on mites +rash in yahoo and you can find a lot of information on this.
Another thing to consider would be bedbugs. Have you travelled lately and stayed in a motel? They have become extremely bad in some areas, especially New York, because they are spread when people travel. Those, too, can be researched on yahoo. There has been a lot in the news lately about these.
