Yeast Free Diet Archives

fruit (whole form, not fruit juice)
tomatos
potatos
corn

I’m really confused about the fruit because when yeast-free you’re supposed to eliminate sugar as well. Anyone with any experience with this? Thanks!

These foods do not contain any yeast. I’d eat an apple before a white potato. White potatoes convert to sugar pretty fast – faster than sweet potatoes, in fact. Tomatoes should be fine. Go easy on the corn, as it converts to sugar pretty fast, as well.

For fruit, choose high-fiber fruits that aren’t too sweet. Apples and pears instead of watermelon and oranges.

yeast free diet doesn’t have nothing to do with yeast in the body
yeast is not a normal bacteria found in the body . it is an opportunistic fungus
yeast only occurs in humans as an infection ranging from skin , to serous blood infection in immune compromised patients
yeast common infections include : moth thrush in people who have been on antibiotics for a while, and vaginal yeast infection that occurs in females and is treated easily ,
i cannot help but think some alternative medicine shenanigan is telling you this nonsense , medicine is based on science , and reproducible trials , and even then we get it wrong some times , so please do not play Russian roulette with your life with alternative medicine ( it should be called alternative Con artistry crap)

I suffer with constant yeast infections and I have had enough!

I am thinking about going on a yeast-free diet and would like more information, like what typical products/foods have yeast and what don’t.

Does anyone knows of good yeast free recipes? Can anyone who is on a yeast free diet provide me with information on how you’re feeling or what it entails. Just any information at this point would be helpful. Thanks.

you need to follow a diet that is based on whole foods. whole foods are naturally occurring and only contain one ingredient, the food item itself. only processed foods contain yeast. processed foods contain far too many ingredients that are unhealthy to the human body which decreases the health status, the less of them in the diet the leaner and healthier you will be.

is it possible to find yeast free food please help.

I had to be on a yeast free diet for 3 months once. It is hard to do, since everything you eat must be very fresh. I’m going to link you to The Yeast Connection website. They have recipes and ideas along with a chance to order the cookbook which includes things like yeast-free breads you can make (or crackers, tortillas, pancakes) meats, and veggies. When you get to the point in the diet that you are allowed to have sweeteners, it also has recipes for natural sweeteners that are better for you than white sugar.

One thing to look out for is you will have to also be off of sweeteners (that includes Splenda and Aspertame) while you are on the diet. Sweeteners encourage any yeast already in your system and makes it even harder to detox. They usually recommend adding fruit back to your diet after roughly 2 weeks. It just depends on how fast you progress.

The diet is hard to do since there is so much temptation out there, but with some planning you can conquer that issue. Make sure you have raw veggies in the fridge ready to eat and some crackers or other bread that is totally yeast free on hand (recipes for these are in The Yeast Connection Cookbook and on their site). That way, you can avoid blowing your diet just because you’re too hungry to wait for a meal.

The diet does leave you hungry feeling for a week or two, but you can eat tons of the allowed foods in order to compensate. You will lose weight, also. I lost 12 pounds in 7 days – wasn’t trying to lose weight, it just happened.

Good luck!!

Ive heard that some spirits are ok, is this true and if so which ones? Also what other types of alcohol can i have, if any?

All alcohol for consumption is produced by yeast. However, spirits have been distilled and the yeast has been removed. To be honest you could probably drink mainstream beer too as it’s pasteurized and filtered.

Now I’m curious – what are the supposed benefits of a yeast-free diet?

My boyfriend is trying this diet and can’t eat anything that promotes yeast within the body. We’re wondering, since sugar promotes yeast, can you eat caramelized onions while on this diet?

hey i have candida and have been cleansing for awhile now- i know a lot about the diet.

To answer your question- yes carmelized onions are okay as long as there is no added sugar involved. onions with some butter or oil is just fine- and some herbs too will help with digestion. no sugar of any kind is allowed.

if its the sweetness he’s after- go out and buy pure stevia (powder or liquid) it has anti-fungl properties and has no sugar or carbs. its the only acceptable sweetner. it tastes horrible raw- but when mixed with food it tastes so good!

also i know alot of people use vinegar in their caramelized onion recipes – so use apple cider vinegar not regular vinegar.

hope this helps

i have an autistic child and it is recomended that she need to on a yeast free gfcf diet? i couldnt fine any food list that is yeast freeand also gfcf , i need help

dailystrength.org has support groups for people with celiac disease (gluten intolerant), they may be able to help you with recipes and food plans.

just curious, is your child actually gluten intolerant? if not, there is no benefit to the gluten-free diet. try this website if they are… http://www.autismweb.com/diet.htm

I would also be interested to know if there are any low yeast drinks available.

Budweiser as its brewed from rice and not yeast.

I have to do this for 3 months due to severe yeast overgrowth in my bowels intestines and other orfans.
How easy is this diet and can u give me any tips on whats good to eat please?

I’m worried i’m gonna lose weight cos im hungry and dont know what to eat.

What you can eat depends on whether you’re just cutting out the yeast itself, or if you’re avoiding foods that it feeds on too.

If you need to do the latter, you have to avoid sugar (including fruit), wheat (I think?) and anything related to fungus (e.g. mushrooms and blue cheese). It’s very restrictive.

If you search online there are lots of places that give information on what you can eat.

Personally, I would be looking at rice, potatoes, meat and vegetables to be the bulk of the diet.

I have yeast overgrowth in my intestines and am confused about the diet. One website says I can eat it while another says i can’t. I know rice is starchy and to me that points to sugar. Can I have it or not and does anyone know a true yeast free diet? Also can I have oatmeal?

Yes! Rice is just fine. The primary thing to avoid is sugar. Candida (Yeast) feeds on sugar. I would also recommend taking supplements like: Grapefruit seed extract, and Oregano Oil. The "Now" brand Oregano Oil can destroy yeast. I have known many people who have used it, and had nothing but good to say about it. As far as your diet, You want to avoid eating alot of bread, fruit juices, anything with a high sugar content, beer or wine, ect. Oats and rice are fine. There is a natural sweetener known as "Stevia" which is very good for you and a far better alternative to Sweet N Low and other poisonous sweeteners.
