I read this somewhere but now I can’t find anything about it and I don’t know how much or how often to feed it or if it really IS a good thing to be feeding my cat. No, not in the ears. The yogurt/yeast infection only works with humans (women, and it’s what you put in AFTER you douche down there to get the good bacteria going again).
For cats with yeast infections in the ears you need to change the acidity of the environment to stop the yeast growth. It’s easiest done with a kleenex wadded over your finger, dipped in 50/50 water/vinegar and swabed out every other day. The yogurt won’t do a thing.
I have been put on antibiotics for a URI and now I feel like I may be started to get a yeast infection.. You would not haven gotten a yeast infection so quickly after starting antibiotics. It is most likely a coincidence. You should treat the yeast infection and continue the course of antibiotics, because a kidney infection can get worse very quickly and even lead to permanent kidney damage.

they are very common during pregnancy but you need to make sure they are treated effectively because i had one during my first pregnancy and i took the medicine and it didn’t get rid of it. I ended up having a kidney infection for almost a month! and my drs had no idea. i even went to the hospital and they sent me home without doing ANY tests. a week later my dr did a urine test and discovered how bad the infection. I had to stay in the hospital for a week because of the kidney infection. I could have lost my baby because the hospital didn’t check aka do their job.

if you really want to get rid of yeast infection then you must follow these tips:
1) Eat yogurt!!!! It contains helpful bacteria (live cultures, including acidophilus and bifidus) that destroy yeast. Use only plain yogurt with active cultures.
2) Douche with a solution of 1 to 3 tbsp. vinegar in a quart of water. Repeat once a day while having symptoms, but no longer than a week.
3) Decrease or eliminate sugar and sugary foods. Sugar promotes yeast growth.
4) Use a garlic clove as a suppository. Garlic contains a natural anti-fungal agent.
5) Try gentian violet. It’s a traditional remedy for yeast and other infections, and can be found in pharmacies. Swab the area with it once or twice a day. Make sure to use a thick pad – it stains everything.
6) Use an herbal douche. Combine equal amounts of sage, raspberry and comfrey with 1/4 part goldenseal. This can be combined with cider vinegar.
7) You must use herbal treatment. In that case Yeastrol is really good (probably the best) product that gets rid of yeast infection comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that it wont reappear again!
And of course it is better if you use full course (5 months – if I remember correctly). For me it worked very fast + I dont get yeast infections anymore…

Yellow-ish/green-ish discharge?
i have a yellowish/greenish discharge coming from my vagina but i still for the most part have regular whitish/clear discharge, i was just tested for stds and had a pap smear, but they both came up clear (this was in september and i haven’t been active since) i shower regularly (every day or sometimes every other day) my period is due for next week. so whats up? is it a yeast infection? cant i treat it with one of those home diagnosis kits and treatment kits? all this has happened once before but didn’t last long enough for me to go get checked out (this was like a year ago ad lasted 2 days this is on day 3 it will be 4 tonight) i just started birthcontol the middle of last month and there is no odor or itching. not having to go to the dr would be a big plus. thanks to everyone who answers
