[mage lang="" source="flickr"]treating yeast infection early pregnancy[/mage] Yeast infection+abdominal pain=pregnant?
So i had unprotected sex two weeks ago, but i was wearing my birth control patch. I had just gotten off my period and my patch had only been on for about 5 hours when i had sex. He pulled out but we all know thats not super reliable. I started to feel pretty crappy a week later, but i took two pregnancy test and they both said negative. I’m kinda worried i took them to early though. Well anyway, i now have a yeast infection that im treating. I’m having some abdominal pain so i was wondering if that was due to the yeast infection or if possibly both the yeast infection and the pain could mean pregnancy. I don’t have any symptoms right now besides those. So I was wondering what you think. Could I be prego or is it just the yeast infection?
The only time you can get pregnant is when you are ovulating. Birth control prevents ovulation. So, if you wore your patches at the right time, you should not be pregnant. Usually oral sex is the reason for yeast infection…..not always but most of the time. If you were pregnant, you would not be feeling anything connected w/it yet. I was pregnant 5x and never ever thought about it til I missed my next period. Yrs. ago.

[mage lang="" source="flickr"]breast yeast infection breastfeeding[/mage] Baby spiting up A LOT, why?
My baby is a week old, and she has been eating ok so far. We are breastfeeding this morning she fed and I didn’t even get her up to burp and she spit up ALL OVER, like everything she ate came up. I looked like fresh milk with some curdles in it. Then I was thinking, maybe she’s hungry about a half hour later because she spit it all up. So I got ready to feed her and she was laying on the bobby pillow next to my body and on her back, then she spit up again. This time it looked more like water with curdles in it, and it was just as much as before. Only this time, she hadn’t eaten before it happened. I’m worried that she maybe sick or something maybe wrong with my milk. I’m also wondering if I have a yeast infection in both breasts, and if that would effect her ability to digest or empty her stomach. Her temp was fine this morning. So I don’t know what is going on. Help!
My guess is that she simply ate too much or you have an over active let down, or both really. My son did the same from time to time until about 3 months old. Other than being really messy and inconvenient he gained weight fine. When your milk lets down does it spray or drip? Does your baby pull off gagging and coughing sometimes? Is she gassy? Spraying milk with all of these other things is a good sign of an over supply of milk or an over active letdown. You can try getting your milk to let down then latching her on after the flow slows or you can pull her off when your milk lets down to wait for the flow to slow then put her back on. Feeding a bit more frequently and for shorter amounts of time may also help although I always found it hard to judge this way since you can’t really tell when they are full or have taken in to much. Eventually you might also try only feeding on one side. Don’t offer the second side if she seems happy after the first side. She may end up eating a bit more often but more milk will stay down and this will also help your over active let down get under control.
Chances are there is nothing wrong with your milk and she likely isn’t sick if she doesn’t have a fever. Lots of babies have this issue in the early days. If you have a ton of milk but she likes to suck for comfort even after she is full she is likely just over eating. She may be full with your fast milk in 5 minutes but want to suck for 20 minutes resulting in a very full tummy.
[mage lang="" source="flickr"]yeast infection never goes away[/mage] Never ending yeast infection?
Okay so I eat well, im not fat, im actually small. But my yeast infection won’t go away since like Septermber. I take like amazing yeast infection brands then its like yay for three days. Then itching and smells like shit again.
help me please?
honey i am in the same boat, i started getting them ever since i got on the pill. are you wearing tight clothing? my doc says it may be my sweet tooth providing the extra glucose to the yeast, but even when i dont’ eat any sweets it won’t help. and every time i go back to my ob/gyn they just give me a script for fluconazole or gynazole, it works for only a week.
yeast and bacteria normally balance each other out in the vagina. i’m thinking i had taken antibiotics that maybe knocked out a certain species of bacteria in my vagina and now the balance is out of whack?
also, my doc said not to use scented anything down yonder. so i’m like how the heck am i supposed to shave?… whatever. her advice to me was this – “don’t put anything down there (between the labia) that you wouldn’t put in your mouth”. i laughed, but she’s got a point, body washes and other things can throw off the ph in the vagina, allowing more yeast to grow.
also i know that for some people the yeast infections occur/get worse during certain parts of their cycle, maybe track this yourself and see if there’s a pattern?
i hope my rambling helps you. good luck.

[mage lang="" source="flickr"]yeast infection keflex[/mage] I have lots of pain in my neck, been like that for three weeks…?
found a small lump. The pain is horrible all around it. I have no other symptoms like sore throat or anything. Been to two doctors. One prescribed me augmentin the other keflex. I didnt get to finish the first medication because it gave me a horrible yeast infection. I waited two weeks to see if it went away but the pain is worse. So I went back & now I am on Keflex…anyone a doctor who might have some helpful insight…should I just continue taking it & not be worried….
I am not a doctor but I have a lot of doctors in my family. You should never stop taking medication unless you have harmful side effects. It sounds like you have an infection of some sort, whether it is viral or not is hard to determine without a direct examination. The best advice is to continue with the doctors order, and keep updating them on your progress. This could be anything and I don’t want to worry you with all the possibilities because more then likely it is just a bad infection. Hope your situation gets better, and remember be honest with you doctor, and always follow his orders.
[mage lang="" source="flickr"]yeast infection every period[/mage] why recurring yeast infection few weeks before period…always?
This would be my 3rd yeast infection i got one every month i dunno why but anyone know? i mean i had foreplay on august 24 and i got my period late i dunno maybe due to stress bcuz i was so worried dat i might be preg but i wasnt, but before i got my period i got an yeast infection, den in october i got one before my period too and den now im starting to have one again…any reasons??????
Yours seem to be hormone related. Some women have that when it comes to yeast. Make sure you eat yogurt with active cultures every day. Talk to your doctor to see what can be done. Normally they don’t last too long and aren’t too bad if they’re hormone related but you might not want to take a drug that you can become resistant to. Talk to your doctor first. Some women douche with vinegar and water at that time just to ease the itch. While douching is bad if you do it a lot, again talk to your doctor because I’ve heard of that being okay for some women.

Most parents know that somewhere along the line newborns can have diaper rash, dry skin or even pigment discolorations, such as stork bites or birth marks.
But milk production? Yeast infections?
This list below was compiled not to frighten parents, but to let them know that sometimes the truly unexpected — like breast development — can occur in their newborns, boys or girls.

[mage lang="" source="flickr"]yeast infection test[/mage] IS there a yeast infection test that i can buy WITHOUT going to the doctor? Monistat? or something? the cost?
I know monistat’s the treatment but down there i’m really itchy for over 2 months now. And i can’t go to the doctor beucase of insurance issues. So is there a test thing i can buy? If so what’s the name and the cost and where to buy them?
Hi there,
This is what I would do if I were in your shoes, considering that even if the doctors discover that you have a yeast infection they will only give you a drug that will temporarily eliminate it until it returns worse than ever.
I would just start using natural therapies on it which have no downsides or side-effects are cheap and effective. Even if you only have itching, I would say after that long of time odds are it’s a yeast infection. If you have any burning, redness or discharge then it definitely is.
Either way here are some natural tips and suggestions for you.
There are many things you need to start doing and addressing if you are suffering from a yeast infection. To start, do the following:
1. Wear loose clothing and undergarments, oxygen kills yeast, going commando and wearing nothing down there if possible is even better.
2. Get some unsweetened yogurt and rub it onto a tampon, insert the tampon and do this continually until the yeast infection is gone.
3. Cut out any and all sugar, alcohol and yeast from your diet. All three will promote the infection further.
4. Start drinking cranberry juice, pure not from concentrate with no added sugar, I know this goes against the no sugar thing but the acid content in the cranberries will alter the PH balance of your vagina and cause the yeast to die off.
5. If you can tolerate it, use a raw garlic clove and apply it to the infection, this may burn so dilute it with some olive or coconut oil, both of which can also help eliminate the yeast, especially the coconut.
6. You can also try taking some vitamin B3, many women find their infections resolve quicker when they are taking 300mg/per day.
7. Take a probiotic with at least 50 billion live cells per pill, this is key in redistributing good bacteria throughout your body, and effectively end the yeast infection. You must do this continually until you have eliminated your yeast infections and Candida entirely.
8. Lastly if all else fails, begin adding 2 cups of apple cider vinegar to a bath. Only fill the tub up high enough to submerge your genital area. Stay in the tub for 20-30 minutes at a time.
Hope this helps, the yogurt is the key really, by putting good bacteria directly on the area you will eliminate it quickly. Make sure it is unsweetened and ideally keep an eye out for a variation called Kefir which has even more beneficial bacteria in it to snuff out the infection.
When all is said and done I would suggest you research Candida and take a test to determine if you are suffering from it, as anyone who gets yeast infections has Candida, it’s just a matter of how bad it is.
