Cure Yeast Infection Permanently!
No but it could harm the fetus if you are pregnant. Be careful.
Just wondering, I am on penicillin (which I believe caused the yeast infection) and am going to talk to my doctor about medication for it tomorrow. Can I take yeast infection medication while on penicillin? I have a few days left of the penicillin.
yes! you can!
and if you have yeast infection then you must get rid of it as soon as it is possible!!!
if you really want to get rid of yeast infection forever then you must follow these tips:
1) Eat yogurt!!!! It contains helpful bacteria (live cultures, including acidophilus and bifidus) that destroy yeast. Use only plain yogurt with active cultures.
2) Douche with a solution of 1 to 3 tbsp. vinegar in a quart of water. Repeat once a day while having symptoms, but no longer than a week.
3) Decrease or eliminate sugar and sugary foods. Sugar promotes yeast growth.
4) Use a garlic clove as a suppository. Garlic contains a natural anti-fungal agent.
5) Try gentian violet. It’s a traditional remedy for yeast and other infections, and can be found in pharmacies. Swab the area with it once or twice a day. Make sure to use a thick pad – it stains everything.
6) Use an herbal douche. Combine equal amounts of sage, raspberry and comfrey with 1/4 part goldenseal. This can be combined with cider vinegar.
7) You must use herbal treatment. In that case Yeastrol is really good (probably the best) product that gets rid of yeast infection comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that it wont reappear again!
And of course it is better if you use full course (5 months – if I remember correctly). For me it worked very fast + I dont get yeast infections anymore…
I do not know if any pharmacies carry Yeastrol but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.yeastrol.com/?aid=221781
good luck!

You CAN absolutely get rid of a yeast infection without medication. In fact, over-using medication can make you MORE prone to yeast infections over time because it throws the balance of the "good flora" in your system off kilter.
If this is your first infection, you really should see your doctor to rule out other possible infections – including some STDs that, if left untreated, can be VERY harmful.
If you’ve been through this before and are just sick of spending $15-$20 on some goopy OTC mess, here’s what I’ve found to work:
1) Acidophilus pills. They’re in the vitamin aisle. You can take 3 orally, or you can use one gel-cap as a suppository. I’ve done this before, and while it takes a bit longer than the monistat-type treatment, it does work, it’s cheaper, and it’s not an anti-fungal – meaning it doesn’t disrupt the "good" flora in your system.
2) STAY. AWAY. FROM. SUGAR. Yeast thrives on sugar, so if you eat a sugary diet (candy, sugary yogurts, lots of fruits, soda, fruit juice, etc), cut it out – if not permanently, at least temporarily. Yogurt is great for yeast infection prevention; it contains acidophilus. But this effect is cancelled out if it also contains a lot of sugar.
3) Also try to limit the amount of bread-like food products you eat.
4) If you’re on the birth control pill, talk to your GYN; many women get frequent yeast infections due to the estrogen in the pill (estrogen alters your body’s PH level, yeast thrives when PH levels are imbalanced)
And obviously stay away from sex, using tampons, etc. Tampons especially are a BAD idea when you have a yeast infection; it’s just a nice little breeding ground for yeast, bacteria, etc.
Good luck! But really – see your doctor if this doesn’t help. It could be more serious than you think.

Yes, thrush is common during breastfeeding and is in fact a yeast infection, just not in the "usual" places.
I finished the medicine about 3 nights ago and since then, i’ve still had some discharge. It isn’t as much as when I first had my yeast infection but it is still very annoying none the less. I was wondering how long I should wait before starting another monistat package?
In my expereince, they clear up the symptoms right away. Personally, I would start another one now…. maybe one of the 7 days packs (annoying as they are).
You can also get a pill from your doctor…. 1 pill, clears it right up.
I have a discharge and i’m sure is a yeast infection because is itching. What is the best over the counter medication for a yeast infection? Also Monistat what is the difference with the one day and the three day which one works better?
I would go with monistat also as i have used prescription yeast meds and monistat and it worked just as good as my prescriptions did..Getting the cheaper does not always mean better..lots of luck always.
i just put my medication in.
its itches something horrible…
its so uncomfortable, is this normal?
& am i allowed to pee?
don’t worry about it.
