Yeast Infection Men Archives

Not from an uncircumcised man, but from some men.

Although they tell you yeast isn’t something you can catch, I NEVER had a yeast infection at all until I had unprotected sex for the first time with my second boyfriend. A week later, I had my first yeast infection, and I have got them regularly ever since (that was nearly 10 years ago).

Yes, he was uncircumcised, but so was my first boyfriend, who I had unprotected sex with.

However, no.1 was clean and no. 2 wasn’t the best at all that, howevr much I insisted. So I tend to think it is more a matter of how clean they keep themselves and whre they have been in the past – whether they have yeast on their penis because they have been with another girl that got yeast infections etc.

And as another answerer said, the mouth it actually a common trigger for yeast infections – you are significantly more likely to get them if your partner performs oral sex on you.

oh i think i should mention that its my boyfriend how has one- and i havent had a yeast infection in a year…does this mean he cheated?

it doesnt really mean he cheated i read online that men that get yeast infections are mainly men that are not circumcised and its very rare that they get it from a woman if thats not his case then i would say he cheated with a dirty butt

yes! of course!!

so if you have yeast infection – you must get rid of it as soon as it is possible!!!

and if you really want to get rid of yeast infection forever then you must follow these tips:

1) Eat yogurt!!!! It contains helpful bacteria (live cultures, including acidophilus and bifidus) that destroy yeast. Use only plain yogurt with active cultures.

2) Douche with a solution of 1 to 3 tbsp. vinegar in a quart of water. Repeat once a day while having symptoms, but no longer than a week.

3) Decrease or eliminate sugar and sugary foods. Sugar promotes yeast growth.

4) Use a garlic clove as a suppository. Garlic contains a natural anti-fungal agent.

5) Try gentian violet. It’s a traditional remedy for yeast and other infections, and can be found in pharmacies. Swab the area with it once or twice a day. Make sure to use a thick pad – it stains everything.

6) Use an herbal douche. Combine equal amounts of sage, raspberry and comfrey with 1/4 part goldenseal. This can be combined with cider vinegar.

7) You must use herbal treatment. In that case Yeastrol is really good (probably the best) product that gets rid of yeast infection comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that it wont reappear again!
And of course it is better if you use full course (5 months – if I remember correctly). For me it worked very fast + I dont get yeast infections anymore…

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Yeastrol but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.yeastrol.com/?aid=221781

good luck!

Working in women’s health – Gynecologist + personal experience

i think i have one between my butt cheeks.what is the treatment

yes, yesst infection can affect both sex

you have to make sure that it is yeast infection, not some STD or something else before you use any medicine

if it is yeast infection, you can go buy some anti-fungal infection cream, just put it on the affected area

if it is serious, you can go see a doctor, he may give you some oral anti-fungal drugs to take

most importantly, you have to keep that area clean and dry, so yeast can’t grow

I believe you can use the same things that women use. Call the doctor and ask them. It’s more common in men than most people think. In fact sometimes it’s the men who give it to the women. The pill that women take is called diflucan…I think. Ask the doctor what would be the best.
Good Luck with that!

YES YES YES….He should be treated and you should not have sex with him untill its cleared.

Men get them (weird right…) but how do they get the virus?
oh i think i should mention that its my boyfriend how has one- and i havent had a yeast infection in a year

Most common cause is sexual contact or sharing of towels or clothes with infected women.

Yeast is just a type of fungus so it’s also possible to get on any body part kept warm, wet and undisturbed for a period of time.

The pH of the vagina is different from the pH of the male’s external organs, therefore this very specilized cream Vagisil – however it works for females genetalia – might and most likely not work for male problems.

If a male has itch problems and wants to avoid going to a health care provider for the time being, a Hydrocortisone cream might ease the irritation somewhat. If it doesn’t, a visit to a clinic/dr’s office etc. is advisable, because reasons for the irritation are very varied and treatment should be adjusted to it.

Men don’t have yeast infections, but in the other hand, if they have sex with a woman who having her periods, or who has a yeast infection, he has a greater chance of receiving a urine infection.

Anywhere moisture and warmth are present, a yeast infection can develop. You should ask a pharmacist for medication advised, but since you’re not likely to do that, miconazol, clotrimazole, or any anti-fungal cream/ointment should take care of it. Good luck.
