I been having a pain down there like if I cut my self shaving. I burns when I pee or just walk around. I have asked a couple of people and they say it might be a bladder problem and the others say it might be a yeast infection.

A yeast infection is caused by yeast. It grows where it is warm and mosit and is caused by a fungus. You will have a lot of itching & burning. There is often a white discharge.
A bladder infection is caused by bacteria in the bladder. You can get both from sexual intercourse. A bladder infection will cause burning while you urinate, stomach pain, fever, dark & cloudy urine, and sometimes blood in the urine.
If you notice more of a problem with itching & odor, it is probably a yeast infection, which you can treat with an over the counter remedy. (Monistat, for example) If you have a lot of burning WHILE you pee, you should see your doctor for testing & antibiotics. Left untreated, it can travel to your kidneys and cause scarring.

I was recently diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis (bv) and am on antibiotics (metrogel) for treatment. I know that antibiotics can cause other problems and even lead to other infections like yeast infections afterwards- the doctor did not give me anything to take for yeast afterwards. Your doctor can actually prescribe a medication (pill form) that is taken along with your antibiotics that will prevent a yeast infection. Since I am prone to yeast infections, I have taken the medication and have had great results when taking antibiotics – no yeast infections during the antibiotic treatment. It has been awhile since I’ve taken the medication, so unfortunately, I can’t remember the name, but contact your doctor if you are still concerned.

The tampons that are for used inside are not really good, and indeed you may end up with some sort of infections. How did you know that you have yeast infection? You could have bacterial vaginosis, not yeast. However, you should apply some anti-fungal creams. Also, eat plenty of yogurt and stop using tampons or chemical soaps, you may be sensible to them.

i had a yeast infection so i bought Vagistat-1. i used monistat before and had no problems, so i figured the same would go for the vagistat. i read the directions thoroughly and did everything correctly. however the medicinedidnt drain out overnight n just started to thismorning. its still coming out but in very small amounts and my inner lips are so swollen that i cant even walk right of wear underwear without discomfort. will this go away? or am i allergic? plz help!

If your infection persist after all otc meds have been tried, you need to see a doctor. The human body still has many mysteries to it. I would definitely not play with things that happen concerning my reproductive organs. Left you a link to check out, it might help. For the time being, I wouldn’t take a bath because the hot water can be like a catalyst to whatever infection you might have.

my friend have this problem with the yeast infection it does not go away she being having it for a long time they give her Diflucan but is not doing anything and the cream but it have not work at all could anybody explain this horrific problem because i just don’t get it

If her sugar is running high, yes… it can be extremely difficult. Fungal infections thrive on high blood glucose and moist, dark areas… it’s the perfect environment for them.

I have pain through out my stomach and pain around my ovaries and a possible yeast infection. I have never had this problem before and I just had my son 8 months ago and it worries me. I have also just recently started to work out alot to. Any help would be great

With me, I have this pain and it’s from ovarian cysts. I feel it in the morning before I pee and during sex the most. I’m on birth control to help them go down. It might not be that with you, but they are fairly common.

don’t take penicillin. it will make your brothers yeast infection worse. go to the drug store and get over the counter crap. it is the best thing you can do. now if you don’t want any meds than you can try cranberry juice and pissing a lot. that is what i tell people to do who have UTI’s. Last week I was sick, and have since then been taking Augmenton. Also, I’m on Yaz (which I’m taking the last pill of my first month of it today- so my hormonal levels have been Really fucked up), have been very stressed out recently, have been getting little to no sleep, I’m not hungry very often so I’m sure my eating habits are really bad, I’m on my period right now so I’m craving sugar like crazy… And I’ve been researching yeast infection problems all morning. It sounds like everything I listed above is a potential cause of a yeast infection. Also, my partner and I are very sexually active, and sex didn’t hurt before I got sick last week. Now the sex is painful and I don’t know how to go about getting everything back to normal

Here’s the home remedy I use, and it’s great, you’ll love it (eliminates burn upon contact!):
Toss 6 or more cloves raw garlic into a blender filled with warm water.
Blend like mad.
Strain, then douche with liquid. Take care to get all the outer areas that are affected.
Relief!
You can rinse/douche 2 or 3 times a day until the condition is gone.

Last night I took I inserted the monistat in my vagina, went to bed, and woke up to it extra itchy! I am not sexually active, I’m only 15 so its not an STD or anything. Please help! It is so itchy I cant stand it. Why is it so itchy after using the monistat? Does this happen sometimes? I have to apply vagisil its pretty bad.

I was about your age and the same thing happened. I woke up in the middle of the night and was EXTREMELY itchy and uncomfortable. In a couple days after keeping up with the monistat it went away. I think the topic lotion they give should help the itch. Just know it’s not just you.
