ohk so i just went to the clinic yesterday for a physical exam and it turns it turns out that i have a yeast infection..they gave me a medicine/cream i am currently taking for seven days and i was wondering if my boyfriend may be infected and how can he get cured if he was infected

they sell over the counter creams such as monostat you can get without a prescription. If he has any rash externally he can just apply the cream topically.

What you may not know is yogurt has a special kind of bacteria in it that helps kill off the yeast. If you both eat a couple of yogurts a day it is a natural cure because the bacteria enters your system and clears out the yeast. Make sure the yogurt says it has "active cultures" on the label.

I went to the doctor twice aready and he gave me some medicine that i took and finished a few days ago and the infections have not gone away yet idk what to do anymore…its so stressful plz help it iches alot and it wont go away. You could try douching with a medicated douche. These contain betadine. Don’t do it more than once or twice. You could also try using a yogurt douche. Use plain Dannon yogurt. It has to contain acidophilous. Other than that, the doctor may have treated you with a med that the bacteria is resistant to. Ask him to culture the discharge and prescribe based on that. As far as the itching, try something other than Monistat. It NEVER works for me. I once had a stubborn case of the same and had to use AVC suppositories. Very messy, but it worked. Ask your doc about that. Good luck, I feel for you.

So October of 2008 I had sex for the first time and along with sex came a yeast infection problem that has not gone away. A week after we had sex i was experiencing all the yeast infection symptoms, so irritating and uncomfortable. Saw the doctor and I got a pap test and STD tests done just in case and all was good. The doctor just gave me a pill, and as expected the symptoms went away. Well between the time of october and today january i have probably had about to infections twice a month. Usually its not severe, and it will go away the next day without antibiotics, but sometimes antibiotics are necessary. For example today, I was at the beach and it just hit me out of nowhere! I had to rush home asap, I felt horrible, but 2 hours later its all gone. I don’t know what is wrong and no doctors have payed any attention to it.

From what I know, yeast infections don’t just show up for hours then go away. They useually stay there until they are treated completely. Maybe you have something out. Definitely go tell your doctor what is happening. If it is a yeast infection, I recommend taking Monistat. I took the 1 day(I had two yest infections over a period of 6 months after I became sexually active) and it always worked for me. I liked the 1day treatment because it was just quicker and easier for me to do, in 7 days, completely cleared up. And you might want to change your diet to protect you in the long run, maybe try and eat yogurt for breakfast and cut down on the sweets.

You need to stop consuming sugar and all processed carbs such as white flour, white bread, white rice, etc. Take a probiotic supplement or eat yogurt with live cultures 2-3 times a day. Activia and DanActive both contain live cultures, supplements however are more concentrated and do not contain any sugar of fat. Olive leaf and oil of oregano are good supplements for fighting yeast infections also and will not effect your chances of getting pregnant. Monistat 3 or 5 day treatment is very good for treating yeast, this is actually the only treatment the Dr I work for will recommend for his pregnant patients, so it should not effect your attempts to conceive
