Will it go away on it’s own?

Itchiness is common, but I’ve never had one like that- mine always just make sex really, really painful, like an irritated kind of pain…. Also there will be a thick, white discharge, sometimes, sorry if that’s TMI.

I always Monistat, the full 7 day treatment, the 3 day ones and 1 day ones never do it for me.

Hope this helps!

I agree with Barb about the garlic. Sounds weird but works. I’d add to that stay off of sugar, alcohol and cut down as low as you can on carbs (Pasta, bread, etc)

So October of 2008 I had sex for the first time and along with sex came a yeast infection problem that has not gone away. A week after we had sex i was experiencing all the yeast infection symptoms, so irritating and uncomfortable. Saw the doctor and I got a pap test and STD tests done just in case and all was good. The doctor just gave me a pill, and as expected the symptoms went away. Well between the time of october and today january i have probably had about to infections twice a month. Usually its not severe, and it will go away the next day without antibiotics, but sometimes antibiotics are necessary. For example today, I was at the beach and it just hit me out of nowhere! I had to rush home asap, I felt horrible, but 2 hours later its all gone. I don’t know what is wrong and no doctors have payed any attention to it.

From what I know, yeast infections don’t just show up for hours then go away. They useually stay there until they are treated completely. Maybe you have something out. Definitely go tell your doctor what is happening. If it is a yeast infection, I recommend taking Monistat. I took the 1 day(I had two yest infections over a period of 6 months after I became sexually active) and it always worked for me. I liked the 1day treatment because it was just quicker and easier for me to do, in 7 days, completely cleared up. And you might want to change your diet to protect you in the long run, maybe try and eat yogurt for breakfast and cut down on the sweets.

it burns and itches really bad down there, theres some yellow kind of colored discharge and a really bad odor. is that a yeast infection and if it is how can i get rid of it IMMEDIATELY please help

I agree with Red. It could be Yeast, but the yellow and the odor are typical signs of bacterial. Lab tests should easily be able to rule it out. In the future, you should check out: http://www.curetogether.com as a great new resource where people come together to help each other by offering treatments they’ve tried and reviews. It would also be great if you added your success or failures with your current condition there to continue helping others. I have yeast infection and it sucks :( Immense itching and burning sensation. I must buy a yeast infection cure fast! but how do i know which to choose? There are different brands. Which is best from a drugstore? I live near a cvs . Thanks

Monistat 7… I swear by it. Once you are cured, take measures to prevent another infection by always making sure things are clean before they go in your vagina, don’t wear tight pants or thongs more than a couple hours at a time, use appropriate soap to clean things down there (Summer’s Eve has a good line and they aren’t expensive), don’t douche more than once a week, less if you can, and change tampons frequently when you use them.

i was wondering could a yeast infection prevent me from becoming pregnant?is it normal to get a yeast infection while on clomid?what are some natural remedies you could take to get rid of a yeast infection?

You need to stop consuming sugar and all processed carbs such as white flour, white bread, white rice, etc. Take a probiotic supplement or eat yogurt with live cultures 2-3 times a day. Activia and DanActive both contain live cultures, supplements however are more concentrated and do not contain any sugar of fat. Olive leaf and oil of oregano are good supplements for fighting yeast infections also and will not effect your chances of getting pregnant. Monistat 3 or 5 day treatment is very good for treating yeast, this is actually the only treatment the Dr I work for will recommend for his pregnant patients, so it should not effect your attempts to conceive

Lately i have had a lot of yellowish discharge and it has a little bit of a scent but it does not itch at all. But i do have to pee alot. I was thinking it might be a yeast infection, any idea?

It can be. I had yellow discharge and no itching, no irritation, no clumpy discharge, so I went to the doctor. It ended up being a yeast infection, which completely surprised me, because I had them before and they were intolerable.

It can be other things, too. A change in discharge simply means something in not balanced properly.

Thankyou :)

I have tested neg for all std’s. just have redness very mild itching externally. when doc looked at smaple under microscope she said she seen yeast, but culture came back neg? how can this be?

I had an external yeast infection that responded to treatment, but the culture came back negative. I think it’s common for an external yeast infection to come back negative on a culture. It’s harder to collect a sample large enough to get a positive culture.
