URGENT! What could this be?

Hey,
I’ve asked a quesiton about this skin like not even an inch into my vaginal entrance. I saw a picture of the vagina and it cleared that up for me, it’s suppose to be there. I am not a virgin, I am very sexually active with my boyfriend.
Anyways, I’ve been experiencing (only once in a while) a slight itch right at the entrance, and if I push out (I know it sounds silly, but almost as if you were constipated) it takes the itch away.. like, I can feel where the itch is by pushing outwards.

I have no unusual odor or discharge.
Could this be the start of a yeast infection or what?
BTW, we always use protection :)

Thank you very much.

It could be a slight allergic reaction to condoms. Are you using the same brand?
Its best to stick to the same brand, but perhaps you are sensitive to latex..
Try a brand of condoms for people with allerigies.. with will eliminate any possibilities of it being the condom issue. And if you still have that itch, then perhaps it could be something else..
Also make sure you are clean or showered down there… and ask for him to be clean also… it could be also be an irritation from a sweaty penis/vagina and its irritating your skin.

Are these signs of pregnancy?

Yeah I’m going to ask. I’m 24 and I’m 6 days late.

Basically, my boobs hurt really freaking bad, I’m really tired all the time and cranky, shortness of breath, stomach bloated (obviously not from “showing”), and weird discharge 4 days before my period was due (It was like white and pasty, but not a yeast infection), and headaches during the week before my expected period.

Other than that, my appetite has gone down. I’m not throwing up. I don’t feel any nausea. Obviously I’m just going to have to test to find out, but are these signs of pregnancy? Has anyone experienced this?

Here is a link with all the “before missed period symptoms”

And here is a link with some “after missed period symptoms” http://pregnancy.about.com/od/signssymptoms/a/25signsofpg.htm

I hope this helps you!

What are signs/What causes a Yeast Infection?

For like the past few days i’ve been itching like crazyy down there. i’ve been cleaning the area like really well, and i have no pain or rash or bumbs or anything else weird that i know of but the itching like around the inside of the lips down there is soo bad.
if its not an std which im praying its not lol could it be a yeast infection? thats what im thinking it sounds like. but idk much about them

if its a yeast infection it will sometimes smell like bread dough… and there is mostly always discharge…. i’ve went to the GYN and found out i had one… but before then it itched a little too… only until i stopped cleaning myself with frangrance type soaps and started using a mild baby soap…. while also makin sure i rinse the inside of my vagina out did the itching stop…. but the yeast infection more than likely wont go away without sometype of treatment which u can buy at your local pharmacy over the counter….(7 day) vagasil also have this vaginal infection indicator tab thingy that you can use to see exactly how bad the infection is…. if its a typical one or an std….

Have you used an OTC product to cure diaper rash caused by a yeast infection?

I was wondering if anyone has used an OTC product to cure diaper rash caused by a yeast infection? I’ve been reading up on otc fungal treatments, and found them to be quite interesting. Has anyone had good results? Please no rude answers, thank you.

I used a prescription cream, but it was basically Canesten with a small amount of hydrocordisone powder mixed in (the pharmacist actually misread the prescription and showed me the canesten on the shelf, before I pointed out the HC powder part of the RX). It worked pretty well, took a few days to fully clear up, but started improving right after the first application.

Yeast Infection Natural Cures Can End All Your Discomfort Forever

In reality, a healthy vagina has a pleasant lightly musky odor, the chemicals these feminine product makers sell can mask changes in that odor. This isn’t good, because changes in scent may be a sign of infection. These chemicals can also be harmful, causing irritation of the skin, mucous membrane, and throwing off the ph balance of the vagina. Douching is unnecessary and potentially harmful, unless it’s used as a method for treating problems such as yeast infection symptoms.

Most vaginal infections in women are due to bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, or yeast. However, there may be other causes as well. Such as allergies, things that cause irritation, and/or other STDs. Non-infectious allergic symptoms can be caused by spermicides, vaginal hygiene products, detergents, and fabric softeners. Cervical inflammation from these products often is associated with abnormal vaginal discharge, but appropriate diagnostic tests can distinguish this kind of vaginal discharge from true vaginal infections.

The fungus that lives in natural balance in our bodies is called Candida albicans. Candida is found mostly in the intestines, genital tract, mouth, and throat. When this delicate balance is upset, infection results. This is known as Candidiasis and the fungus travels to all parts of the body through the bloodstream. When it overgrows in the mouth, it is called thrush. When it overgrows in the vagina, it is called a genital yeast infection. Yeast candida overgrowth affects both females and males but is rarely transmitted sexually. Women with diabetes have more genital yeast infections because their vaginal environment tend to promote yeast growth.

A weakened immune system has been linked to the causes of the Candidiasis. A change in diet and/or nutritional habits can also cause an imbalance of yeast. The overuse of broad spectrum antibiotics, such as tetracycline and/or penicillin can suppress and even kill beneficial bacteria. This beneficial bacteria, such as acidophilus and lactobacillus are vital to the genital tract. When this beneficial bacteria is out of balance it creates an environment where yeast can multiply and go unchecked. There are other underlying factors, such as Diabetes, that are believed to possibly be the root cause of Yeast Infections.

A genital yeast infection may be caused by a course of antibiotics (particularly tetracycline) that were prescribed for another purpose. Antibiotics change the normal balance between organisms in the vagina by suppressing the growth of protective bacteria that normally have an anti-fungal effect. A vaginal yeast infection is able to be passed back and forth between sexual partners as it can reside under the foreskin of the male. This is why both partners should be treated in order to stop the problem.

Modern day medicine treats candidiasis commonly with anti-mycoticsthe anti-fungal drugs. These include topical clotrimazole, topical nystatin, fluconazole, and topical ketoconazole. Someone with a severe infection (generally in hospitalized patients), amphotericin B, caspofungin, or voriconazole may be used. Local treatment may include vaginal suppositories or medicated douches.

There are yeast infection natural cures available also. These natural cures for yeast infections are always a choice that should be taken over a prescription if possible. Colloidal silver has been a patented drug and then relabeled a natural supplement. Oregano oil is also one of the natural yeast infection remedies. In addition to natural antibiotics there are two other natural cures for yeast infections that have been used to control vaginal yeast infection, yogurt insertion and tea tree oil. The body will always respond quicker to a natural solution and return to a healthy state if it doesn’t have a compound job to do. The dual duty of the immune system would be trying to rid the body of an invasive disease while expelling man made toxins in prescription drugs that usually cause unbalanced ph in the blood and immune system.

However, taking care of your body and boosting your immune system to support good health is your everyday job. It’s the only way to ensure good life long health.

Yeast Infection!!?!? Help!!? What causes yeast infection?!?!?

ok i just wanted to know if i have yeast infection! umm this might sound embarrassing but my vagina is itchy and thats the only symptom i have.. and ive been having a little bit of discharge even though i already had my period since 2 weeks ago. Is it yeast infection? What is it? How can i prevent it? How can i cure it if i have it? :( please help me

I’m pretty sure that yeast infection is from either when you have taken antibiotics for too long or too many, because they are killing off some of the normal bacteria that live down there and keep the growth of yeast in check. If there are not enough of the normal bacteria, then the yeast start to grow to numerous and cause and infection. Otherwise I wanna say that a change in pH can kill the bacteria down there too, but I can’t remember if the antibiotics are responsible for the change in pH or not.

From what I remember reading, (besides the itching) the discharge that comes from yeast infection should look kinda of like cottage cheese or like curdled milk. It is normal to have discharge that it clear or somewhat white as it acts as a self cleanser. If it is yeast infection you can use an over the counter product, like Monistat 7; but before you buy it ask the pharmacist that is in the store if they think that that is something you should use, otherwise if it isn’t yeast infection, they might be able to tell you what it is or recommend something to try to stop the itch. Also, you might question on if you have chiggers down there, I know a couple of people who have had them down there, but I really don’t know how they got rid of them. Hope that helped a little.

is there an at home way to cure yeast infection?

Here are listed a couple of the home remedies for yeast infection:

· Regularly daubing apple cider vinegar in the areas prone to this infection. Your can add some garlic to stop the itchy feeling; and water to dilute the vinegar concentration

· Curds or yogurt is regarded as one of the best home remedies. In fact, it is advisable to soak a tampon into curds and place it in the infected region for at least an hour. Basically, the healthy required bacteria from the curds will replace the unhealthy yeast bacteria. This could be repeated twice to thrice a day.

· Drink at least two glasses of buttermilk a-day, whether infected or not. In fact making curds a part of the daily diet in take reduces the probability of yeast infection.

· Mixture of olive leaf extract with grapefruit seed extraction a glass of water is a good curative tonic for this infection.

Curing a yeast infection can be frustrating and a hassle. It’s also irritating and uncomfortable. Especially when you get that “itch” that you don’t want to scratch in front of people. So, what I’m going to is share with you a yeast infection cure.

That way, you will be able to cure your infection within 12 hours.

The cures for your yeast infection are:

1. The first way to cure your yeast infection is to use tea tree oil. Put a few drops on a tampon and insert it inside your vagina. Allow it to sit there for twenty minutes. Tea tree oil is a well known anti-fungal solution that helps get rid of yeast infection quickly.

2. Another yeast infection cure is yogurt. Apply some plain yogurt on your tampon and insert it inside your vagina. Let it stay there for about 20 minutes. You should do this a couple times a day. Try to do it once in the morning and once a night.

3. Garlic is another yeast infection cure. Wrap a clove of garlic with cheesecloth. Tie a piece of string to it and insert it inside your vagina. Allow it remain there for twenty minutes and then remove it using the string that you tied to it.

Also, you could apply garlic paste to the areas around your vagina. It may burn a little, but that’s normal. It’s also effective at helping you get rid of your infection.

These are some yeast infection cures. If you have an infection, you should do something about it now. If you wait too long, your infection could become worse. Or it could cause serious health problems, including some brain damage.

Could a yeast infection be a symptom of early pregnancy?

I’m late for my period (which could be due to the fact that I skipped about a week of birth control, long story) and I now have a yeast infection. Should I be worried?

A yeast infection has nothing to do with early pregnancy, and ur period is most likely from you skipping birth control. but get that yeast infection looked at, it doesnt go away by its self. :)
