yeast infection sore throat
Is this a Yeast Infection?

i am in my second trimester of being pregnant and earlier this week i had gone to the doctors for a sore throat he said i had strep and prescribed me some antibiotics. A couple days later my inner vaginal lips and clitoral area started to itch like crazy. I then found out that i didnt have strep but i had mono. Anyway…My clitoris area itches quite badly and is starting to sting now and the lips are inflammed and swollen. (probably from the itching) i am just curious to if this is a yeast infection, i dont have any different kind of discharge and no smell, just severe itching and slight burning.

i would call my OB but its weekend and they are closed.

Hi,

No more allergic ‘foods’ or meds and ‘IF’ fungal/thrush – Monistat and better micro-nutritional absorption in the gut should clear it up.

Sounds like the skin reactions that I was having two to three years ago right after I poisoned my liver from too much and too many toxic micro-nutritional supplements for too long. My sleep was terrible back then when I was having severe pruritus Urticaria allergic reactions to foods antibiotic-meds skin-creams shower-water and my own sweat and who knows what other toxins, that would then also promote fungal infections and lymph gland swellings from my weakened immune system.

After several months I eventually learned to make more costly organic nutritional choices, that then allowed my immune system and organs to rebuild and get stronger so I could again get a fairly good night’s sleep.

IF YI – my own skin-pruritus-Urticaria issues have cost about $2,500 in the last three years to learn what I now know – which is that ALL skin diseases are a result of one’s micro-nutrition and/or toxic ‘absorption’ from the air skin or gut and/or hygiene and/or parasites.

Since MDs who push petrolatum meds steroids & antibiotics were not very helpful, and it ‘almost’ took too long to learn a solution, I now take a little time each week to help others understand that – more costly nutrition helps to heal one’s body – NOT meds & supplements.

Low cost micro-nutrition that weakens one’s body and immune system, will always promote diabetes types of fungal infections and itch rash diseases and almost any other disease, even if one might be very very young or a toddler or has never been ‘overweight’ in their life. [See:<> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pellagra <>]

With my own liver disease, within five minutes to four to six hours after being triggered my allergic reactions will begin and will last for a few minutes to a couple of hours and would cause small water blisters along with skin fevers and itches and then rashes and then long term scaling. When my malady was at its worst – I used to have allergic itches to my own sweat that I was burning off after showering or during exercise or when parts of my body got hot – during a time in my life when I used to have considerable toxins stored within my body fat, along with a severely weakened immune and filter systems – that for some reason would not eliminate these strong toxins into a stool. [See heat rashes at: <> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cholinergic_urticaria <>.]

Monistat_7 and Desenex are moist-area anti-fungals and Monistat_Derm and Head_&_Shoulders are also anti-fungals, but you really need to do more internet research from the links I have given to better understand how difficult it is for meds alone to totally remedy serious skin maladies. After I began using too much of a thin petrolatum based skin cream I eventually checked into the ER one morning due to my ‘severely’ swollen lymph glands that made me think I might have contracted lymphoma. So only use med creams that are prescribed in a very-minimal way over a thin layer of wash water, so that one’s immune system and skin/ organs can repair and grow stronger ‘naturally’ without also poisoning one’s liver further.

Since when I was an asthmatic teen and learned I would have severe reactions when I ‘accidentally’ inhaled or used ‘any’ deodorants, and could not eat cinnamon stuff without having an anaphylactic reaction – because cinnamon has some toxins that are strong enough to substitute for pesticides, my life long triggers have taught me to use hypo-allergenic non-perfumed soaps in a minimal way and to sometimes powder different portions of my body with cornstarch to help minimize yeast infections; especially whenever my micro-nutritional absorption within my gut has been less than was ‘necessary’ to ‘adequately’ repair my body’s immune system, organs, and skin on a daily basis.

Lastly, even though I might not have answered your question as ‘specifically’ as you may have wanted, to help you with simple and concise information on ALL itch rash illnesses and for short and long term solutions to them ALL – the following link has considerable info within a ‘report’ I recently posted on Y_A:

The report is an accumulation of my own investigations into itch rash illnesses that are due to my own non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, even though I have a fairly low BMI of 26.

I truly truly hope that what you might rapidly learn in the next few minutes will help you to decide on the correct choices that will remedy your painful malady in the future.

My best to you and yours,

AI – self taught nutritionIsT ><+>[(-:]

PS – IF YI – a nutrition ranking I have learned about is posted at: <> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091101184933AA0kQ63 <>. FYI – The most nutritionally ‘dense’ foods are expensive super-boiled leafy green vegetables.

Yeast infection… please help… please answer!!!?

I could possibly be pregnant. I can’t test until next week though. I have an awful cold and I think I have a yeast infection (thick, white, discharge… and I’m itchy and sometimes a little painful). I know it’s not an STD (I’ve been checked and so has the fiancee). Question is… I hear you can get a yeast infection in early pregnancy… but can you get one before your missed period?? And also… what about the stuffy nose and sneezing?? Please help.

Thanks a ton. =]

I recommend Vagisil it has worked wonders for me it is a cream you apply to your Vagina and it helps so much, the stuffy nose and sneezing is most likely just a cold. Both really isnt a sign of pregnancy.

P:S. Clearblue can tell you 5 days before your missed period if you are pregnant :-) Good luck

is it safe to use Vagisil for my dogs yeast ear infection?

A friend of mine told me it worked for her dog. I just got done using it. Was it a good or bad idea?

Is that what the vet told you to do? I’m sure you took the dog to the vet for a diagnosis, right??????

What is the best treatment for Ear Yeast Infections in cats?

My cat has an ear infection. I had to get kind of assertive with the vet to get him to check and see what kind of infection it is. Turns out it is just yeast, in one ear only.

He prescribed her Vetromax, which says “FOR OTIC USE IN DOGS ONLY” under the label he put on the box. It says each gram contains; “Gentamicin sulfate USP equivalent to 3mg gentamicin base, betamethasone valerate USP equivalent to 1 mg betamethasone, and 10 mg clotrimazole USP in a mineral oil-based system containing a plasticized hydrocarbon gel.”

All this medication seems a little bit excessive for yeast, to me. He said it is the only thing available.

any suggestions?

Vetromax is a pretty decent ear treatment. There are other products available, but most are very, very similar. Just about all of them say “dogs only.” This just means that they were tested specifically in dogs, but not cats. This is pretty common in veterinary medications – not a lot of money out there for drug companies to test their products in both species. It is perfectly okay to use it in cats if prescribed by a vet.

He needs the clotrimazole to kill the yeast, and the betamethasone (steroid) to reduce inflammation and pain. The gentamicin (antibiotic) isn’t really necessary, but I don’t know of a single ear medication with an antifungal and a steroid, but no antibiotic.

The mineral oil base/hydrocarbon gel just means it’s an ointment. These products are pretty inert – they just help the medication coat the ear canal and they won’t hurt your cat.

I’d use the medication like the vet told you if I were in your place. However, if you are really uncomfortable with what the vet said, there is no harm in seeking a second opinion. If you want a second opinion, though, get one tomorrow and don’t start the treatment yet (you’ll want the second vet to be able to check the ear before the medications affect how the infection looks).

Home remedy’s for ear yeast infection?

i have a chocolate lab who has been treated several times for a ear infection. the vet seemed to think it was a mite infection, and when treated with medicine, the systems did not go away. After doing some one line research, i have come to the conclusion that it is in fact a yeast infection. However i can not currently budget taking my dog to the vet and wondered if there were any home remodys to help limit the problem for the next week or so until i can get him to the vet. side note: he also scratches his ear alot and seems to have cut his inner ear in the process, how bad will this counteract with the yeast infection?

I have found the best way to treat a yeast and/or bacteria is a solution my vet told me to use. It is 50% white vinegar and 50% rubbing alcohol. I put it in a small squeeze bottle and squeeze it into the ear then use baby wipes to wipe out the ear. The cut will be irritated by the solution and you can use a neosporin type cream on that. Try to do it b4 he goes on a walk to limit the scratching.

Dog Yeast Infection – Healing or getting worse?

I have been giving my dog who had a very bad yeast infection mega 3&6 fatty acid pills and spraying him with an ACV concoction for a little over a week now and everything was going fine, until just today, his neck and chest got bright red again, and a yellowish oily discharge is coming from the skin. I read somewhere that this is just the body pushing the yeast out, is this true? Does anything else need to be done? Id rather not take a trip to the vet’s, because they’ll just load him up with medications which I don’t want to happen, and I’ve heard that sometimes they ‘misdiagnose’ because yeast infections aren’t that common and the antibiotics will just make it worse.

Antibiotics can make yeast worse, so can prednisone and the other things they try and give people.. The vinegar will push toxins out of the system.. Are you putting applecider vinegar in the drinking water too? You should also give a tsp of natural home each day, it helps the body to rid itself of the toxins.

my 11nth old has been intubated twice in her life time. Doctors say shes a mystery…?

she has mucus in her chest allot. she’s on albuteral, steroids(oral, inhaled) zantax, they found yeast infection by her throat.
She has shortness of breath, stuffy nose, sneezing that’s when i take her to ER. her immune goes down and they don’t know why? does anyone know anything about this? are you also going through the same thing with your toddlers or baby’s?

The steroids are probably causing the yeast infection AKA thrush in her mouth. Was she born premature? Does anyone smoke around her? Has she been diagnosed with asthma? Has she ever been diagnosed with RSV?

Some children are just flat out born with weak respiratory systems. Most times they out grow it. My neice had a terrible respiratory system. My SIL had to get rid of all of the inside pets, use clorox wipes, disinfectant sprays and kept her from other kids who were sick. This seemed to help her out tremendously. I would also recommend put your daughter on vitamins if you have not done so. Both of my girls take vitamins and fingers crossed… they have not been sick. Another thing is to keep her away from people who smoke…. even if you or your spouse smoke and you smoke outside, the chemicals still come in on your clothes…. so for the benefit of you and your child, it may be time to quit. When children have a weak respiratory system, they are more sucepitble to catching a bug. When the respiratory system is not up to par and does not fight things off as easily, the child has a tendency to become sick more frequently and more intensley than other children. Another thing that you may want to do is take a wet wash cloth and after your child has taken her inhaled steroid, wipe out her mouth so that she does not get another yeast infeciton. My neice eventually started to outgrow it around the age of 2. She is now 3 and does not really have any problems. My advice would be for you to take any and all preventative measures that you can to stop her from getting sick. Best luck!!

EARLIER QUESTION ABOUT DOG WITH EAR INFECTIONS, LIKES PEANUT BUTTER&JELLY SAND’S. COULD BREAD BE THE PROBLEM?

NEW AT THIS AND CLOSED OUT MY QUESTION SOMEHOW.HAD 2 RESPONSES.PLEASE RESPOND AGAIN. IVE TAKEN MY DOG TO THE VET THREE TIMES. HE SAYS HIS EARS LOOK VERY GOOD. NO MITES OR SCABIES, VERY CLEAN. OUTER EAR IS FINE. THE FIRST TWO TREATMENTS WAS WITH DERMALOG. THAT DIDDNT WORK. THIS LAST VISIT 2 DAYS AGO HE PACKED HIS EARS WITH AN EXPERIMENTAL MEDICATION THAT HAS YEAST MEDS,ANTINFLAMITORY MED & STERIODS IN IT. HE SAID IT SHOULD CLEAR UP IN A WEEK. ON EXTREMELY BAD CASES IT COULD TAKE UP TO 3 TREATMENTS.HAVE YOU HEARD OF THIS? HE ALSO SAID THAT WITH THE DERMALOG TREATMENT HIS EARS WOULD BE CLEAR IN A WEEK. I WORRY SO MUCH BECAUSE HE VIGEROUSLY SHAKES HIS HEAD AND IM AFRAID HE IS GOING TO BUST HIS EARS! DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE TO HELP ALLEVIATE THE HEAD SHAKING?

Did the vet test your dog for allergies? The reason I ask is I had a dog with massive ear problems (had nasty black tar-like stuff oozing out of them). The thing that finally got it under control was changing her food because it turned out she was allergic to yeast. Her body couldn’t process the yeast and thus it oozed out of her pores. Once we got her diet in check the rest of the problems went away. Something like bread could definitely exacerbate an allergy like this. Try putting your dog on a high quality food like Wellness and see if that helps the symptoms.
