Is this a possible Hemorrhoid?

I am getting over pneumonia, and I was laying down or sitting/leaning against pillows for a good week and a half straight, not doing much. My bum is sore now, and I noticed today when I had a BM that there was blood on the toilet paper. Is this a possible hemmorrhoid?

I also got a yeast infection from my antibiotics, am almost over that. Could it be related?

It’s possible that your sudden lack of activity coupled with the medication/s caused some thinning and/or diminished flexibility of the skin in the area, which tore during the evacuation.

Keep it clean and monitor it.

Yeast infection on my tongue?

on the top , middle/back of my tongue , my taste buds are like a yellow white colour. i thought it might be food or something so i tried brushing my tongue but it didnt go away. im worried cause i got my tongue pierced 5 days ago and i heard that a yeast infection on the tongue could happen. Does anyone know what this could be or if it is a tongue infection?

Sounds like thrush, a fungal infection of the mouth. So to your doctor for proper diagnosis. If it is thrush you will need antifugals.

38 Weeks Pregnant Is It Safe To Use Monistat Products?

At my last appointment, my midwife said I had a slight amount of yeast. She didn’t seem to be too alarmed by it but told me I could do the yogurt saturated tampon thing or Tea Tree Vaginal suppositories to prevent it from getting worse. I DO know what a yeast infection feels like and currently I don’t really have any symptoms of one Except for some itching. But it’s not even inside vaginal area like a traditional yeast infection. It is definitely way more on the outside skin, like right in the crease where your panties sit. Surely it is o.k. to apply Monistat itch cream there, right?
Any other tips that could help? I have read some yeast is very common in pregnancy with ALL these hormones coupled with weight gain & moisture down in that area =) sorry tmi but everyone who’s been preggers knows it!

I definitely know about all the moisture down there once you get to be as pregnant as you are! I had twins the first time and (thankfully) I’m having just one baby this time and have the moisture to look forward to in the coming months. I’d think the external itch cream would be perfectly safe. It’s not like you’re sticking it inside, so there’s no worry there. I think doctors usually tell a pregnant woman with a yeast infection to use a Monistat 7-day treatment if they’re going to go the non-herbal treatment route anyway. If you’re really worried, I’d call your midwife and ask, but I really do think the external cream like you’re talking about would be fine to use.

Yeast Infection, std, something worse?

(this is really embarrassing for me, so please don’t say anything inappropriate) I have had this…yellow discharge(it started out white then it got yellow. Somtimes it is white or gray, or clear and it dries yellow.), and it sometimes i itch down there, but not often. Though when it does itch, it can get pretty bad. I’ve never had sex, except for this one time when i was little(i think i was around 7 or 8. At the oldest 9) one of my neighbors took advantage of me. It doesn’t have an awful odor, it does have some of an odor, but it’s not strong enough for anyone to notice it. That is all the symptoms that i know of. What is it?

It could be yeast infection ( usually it looks like cottage cheese). You don’t necessarily get it through sex, it can occur when the ph in your vagina is not balanced. For example if you’ve been taking antibiotics.

i keep getting yeast infection i dont treat it often like i should but i do treat it now i want a baby?

so my question is can i still have kids i never went without treatment i just dont treat it as often as i should cause it keep coming back so like every 6months or so ill get some over the counter medicine can i yeast infection prevent me from having a baby enough though i have treated just not often

I would try to find out the reason why I keep getting the infection. I am not sure if it affects fertility I would guess it doesn’t.

What do you consider “thumbs down” worthy?

I love Yahoo! Answers just as much as the next boredom inflicted teenager, but I hold a couple of grudges. What’s been bothering you lately with the site? I’ll start it off.

I hate it when men answer questions in the Women Health section. To me it seems inappropriate and creepy when they tell someone they may have a yeast infection or supply a girl with instructions on how to insert a tampon – wierd!

It also ticks me off when someone ‘answers’ a question by self congragulating themself, on earning two points. (Ex. “Yay, 2 pts!”) They seem to think they’re clever. I think they’re punishably lazy.

Similarly, I’ve been noticing another type of lazy. YA has been hit by a Wikidemic. You know who I’m talking about. It’s so easy to tell when those people directly copy/paste from Wikipedia. Hey all you Wikidouches, if I wanted the Wikipedia entry I would of looked it up myself.

So what kind of behavior do you regularly serve with a brutal thumbs down?

Wow I know! In addition to all those “thumb-downers”,
.. I think those spam ones are annoying..when you see someone has a serious question and suddenly somebody goes “BANANANAANNANANANAANSNSNS!”

I really don’t like it when people make the asker feel dumb; sometimes I look at questions to answer and there’s some bratty girl who’ll say “Omg your so stupid. Get a life and a brain..by the way, the answer is 98″

Then I get annoyed by those people who are racist or give a link to some porno thing..I think I just gave up on those people..hey there are a bunch of others who’ll thumb them down or report them.

I especially don’t like it when people go “edit” and save their place..somebody sent me a lengthy message once cause I did that long ago and they told me I could get reported if I kept doing that..and some other things, and after seeing a bunch of people who really care that much just to be on the top of the pack, I got pretty pissed.

So yeah.

If it is not BV then what is it?! DESPERATE!?

I have all the symptoms of BV, foul odor being the main one. I went to planned parenthood to get tested and they said the results were negitive! How could this be? I know I do not have an STD and a yeast infection is very unlikely… I was almost 100% sure I had BV but now I don’t know? I have tried yogurt, folic acid, diet change, and even yeast infection cures… really nothing has worked. Is it possible that the tests at planned parenthood were incorrect? Thanks for any advice! :)

Get to a doctor. If you are sexually active, then you should be seeing an OB/GYN on a regular basis.

They could be wrong, but if you saw an OB/GYN there and they did a culture, then probably not. Yeast infections don’t have a foul odor (just a yeasty smell) and I do not know if trichomonosis has an odor or not.

I would get a second opinion because you should have a natural odor, but if it’s a fishy smell then that is usually a sign of BV or another infection.
