I have been on an antibiotic for a week and a half for a nasty sinus infection (and the sinus headaches are still HORRIBLE, but anyway…) of course I now have a lovely yeast infection most likely from taking the antibiotic….so, should i stop taking the antibiotic and treat the yeast infection…or continue taking the antibiotic and treat the yeast infection???

You can treat the yeast infection with garlic. I know, sounds gross, but it’s cheap and works wonders. A friend wraps a peeled clove in a thin layer of gauze and ties a string around it so it can be pulled out. Changes it twice a day.

Me, I went by what my “How to Herb” book suggested. Whiz 2 cloves in a blender with body temperature water and strain. Use 1 quart water. Douche. Took the itch and pain away instantly. I only had to do it once or twice a day for 2 days.

As far as stopping the antibiotics, I don’t know. I’ve heard that you should always finish them once started, but I don’t know why. I use natural remedies. Echinaciea, Golden Seal, and eating garlic would be good choices in place of anti-biotics.

Anti-biotics can also cause the friendly flora in the intestines to die. So, if you end up with diarrhea after this is all over I would suggest buying Acidophilus.

You can also try rubbing an ice cube over the sinus for a minute followed by hot cloths over the area for about 3 minutes. Alternate between the 2 for 20 minutes and you’ll find relief. Warm draws the blood to the area and cold forces it away so the blood circulation is going strong and that’s where your immune system is. If you can take a 1/2 hour or so to soak your feet in hot water (as hot as you can stand it and add more as it cools – that’s where it’s good to have a friends help) your headache will get better, too.

Lots of natural things to try. Hope it doesn’t scare you away but gives you courage to try something new.

If memory serves me correctly, the German for yeast infection is Pilzinfektion.

Maybe you could do an internet search for yeast infection medications, and print off some of the pages. Take these to the drug store next time you go and show the chemist what you are after.

Many medications go under different names in different countries, but a good chemist should recognize the names, even if they are marketed under a different name in Germany.

thrash?!??! yeast infection! help!?

what the hell i just read somewhere that you could get thrash if you get eaten out and you have a yeast infection?

well i THINK i have one.
i have rouchgly around the same symptons but they come and go.

and when he eats me out theyre gone.
hes only done it twice.

It isn’t called thrash…
It is called THRUSH.
Thrush is a yeast infection of the mouth and throat, and it causes little white bumps all inside your mouth, and it is very sore, and itchy. There is medication to kill the yeast in your mouth if you have thrush.

You are also confused..YOU the woman doesn’t get thrush from being eaten by your boyfriend. HE can get thrush from eating your pussy if you have a yeast infection. HE’d be the one with the sore mouth and throat. You could then get it by kissing him but not until he has symptoms.

yeast infection what should I do?
