Treating a yeast infection with garlic?
yeah I know, it’s kind of a weird question.
but I heard you can use garlic as a suppository and it will cure a yeast infection, so this is my question, if I use one of the pieces of garlic as a suppository, when I’m “done” will it melt eventually, or will I have to push it or take it out?
yes I know this is an odd question and may sound crazy, but it actually works I’ve been kind of testing it out and I’ve been getting a lot better.
I know it works I just want to know:
will it melt inside of me or will I have to take it out?
there’s no way it’d get lost is there?
I don’t like going to doctors.
for anyone who wants to know the answer to the question:
smash up the garlic in a press, mix it with coconut oil, mold and shape into a suppository, and freeze. then put it in at bed time.
Hi,
I would NOT use garlic as a vaginal suppository – either prepared or in whole. I’ll explain why in a second but first let’s start at ground zero.
Most yeast infections are caused by candida and is really just an outgrowth of ‘out of balance’ microorganisms. In short, the candida is always there even when you don’t have a yest infection but for some reason you get out of balance and have an overgrowth of candida.
Could garlic do the trick? Possible – it definitely has antibacterial and antiviral properties. If you’d like to read more about those I wrote an article here:

And while some people suggest garlic has anti-fungal properties it’s simply not safe to insert a clove as a suppository for a number of reasons. First of all -tonicity (burning) or if it breaks up and your unable to get all of it out.
As some of the other poster suggested yogurt can help. Either consuming it orally to prevent or using it topically to treat. Just make sure it says “live cultures” on the label. It’s the acidopholus in the yogurt that is really helping.
What hasn’t been mentioned is that you want to use a plain, unsweetened (sugar-free) yogurt. Candida (as well as bacteria and viruses) grow and thrive from exposure to sugar. They need it for energy.
So, you’ll also want to switch to a low sugar (low processed food) eating style. You may have some more recurrences but overall in the future you’ll likely see a decrease in the incidence of yeast infections.
Best,
