to cure a yeast infection, can i use plain all natural yogurt which has 17 grams of sugar in it?
i have a yeast infection. it is the first one ive ever gotten. i have had it since june or july of 2009. i have tried to cure it with monistat 7 but it didnt work. it only made itching worse. I am going to try the yogurt treatement, and i bought plain all natural yogurt, but it has 17 grams of sugar in it?! it has active cultures though. Can I still use it? also, do i apply it straight out of the fridge or do i let it sit outside so it can be room temperature when i apply it? and how much do i apply?

Yogurt will help but I don’t think it will cure it. You need to go to your Dr. He has a little pill that you can take that will get rid of it. Don’t suffer with it any more.It could spread to other areas in your body.

Have a slight yeast infection, but am trying for pregnancy. Do the medicated creams affect conception?
I intend to treat the infection today, Wednesday, and expect to ovulate on Saturday. In theory, it would be better by then anyway, but I am curious if conception is affected if I have to do a second treatment.

what are some methods of curing a yeast infection?
I have all the symptoms of a yeast infection, but I’m not sure if that’s what it is bcuz my boy friend and I wer fooling around and he performed oral sex on me and fingered me.

I would go to the pharmacy and get the cream.
I have tried the natural methods in the past to try to get rid of thrush ( I used to get it a lot from being on antibiotics) – and they are messy and don’t work.
Get the clotrimazole cream (works quickest) and also take the fluconazole tablet. They are cheaper if you don’t but the cannesten brand.
If it doesn’t clear in a few days or gets worse go to the doctor.
In the mean time where loose clothing ( underwear and trousers).

How can I convince my mom that I need to go to the gynecologist?
I’m 18 years old and I got my first yeast infection alittle more than a month ago, but when I told my mom (so she could help me because I have no clue what I’m doing) she refused to let me go to the gyno, and bought me OTC treatment instead. (something along the lines of Monistat) I thought it had worked, but my symptoms are back this month, and have been for about a week. I’m scared it will turn into something worse. Lately I’ve been itchy down there..
I was fine a few days ago, but it can’t be an STD, cause I’m not sexually active.
And I’m not ALWAYS itching, and it’s not severe or anything like that.
It’s just sometimes at some point it’s itchy there. Like 2-3 times a day probably.
It’s not internal though, like it’s not on my labia or anything like that. It’s just like a little
red spot on the outside of my vagina.. It’s not a bump, it’s just red there.
